Logan Clark was also taken aback when he saw Helena’s imposing manner. He was uncertain about what to do at that moment.

“Are you deaf or dumb?” Helena asked, leaning against a nearby desk with her arms crossed. “Can’t you understand what people are saying?”

“Understood, Miss,” Logan Clark responded quickly, exhibiting his quick wit.

“I just came to the York family, and though I’ve had some disagreements with my father and grandfather, they are still my family,” Helena asked. “Logan Clark, how long have you been with the York family?”

    “Five years,” Logan Clark replied.

    “Hmm?” Helena raised her eyebrow.

“Five years, Miss,” Logan Clark immediately corrected himself.

“Five years, that’s not short. Whenever you’ve had enough, you can let me know, even though I may not have much say in it as a young lady, but I still have some influence in dismissing a servant,” Helena said, half-smiling.

“Miss… You…” Logan Clark hesitated as he began to sweat in the palm of his hand. He couldn’t be fired from the York family job.

The employer was generous, and many people had put in a lot of effort to get the job.

    How could he be dismissed?

“We know your intentions very well. If you’re wise, you’ll put away your insidious tricks,” Helena said in a cold voice.

“Miss, you’ve misunderstood… I…” Logan Clark couldn’t find his words as he looked into Helena’s eyes. He felt as though he was losing his voice.

Helena turned around coldly and ordered, “Get out.”

“Yes, Miss,” Logan Clark exited Helena’s room, collapsed on the ground at the end of the hallway stairs, and then broke into a sweat.

It seemed that he couldn’t mess with Helena that easily. He thought she was an easy target…

Her words, her imposing manner, it didn’t seem to come from a sixteen-year-old girl.

When she was at the dinner table, she could hear Vanessa’s thoughts, but she couldn’t hear anyone else’s thoughts. It was the same when she lived with Yolanda before.

This meant that her unexpected ability had limitations.

She couldn’t hear the thoughts of people with blood relationships. Being reborn for just a few days, she didn’t know what other limitations and side effects this ability would have.

Helena made up her mind to use this ability sparingly.

If the side effect was to decrease her lifespan, she might die before taking her revenge.

    How could that be possible!

Looking at her phone display, today was August 21st.

The banquet was still in six days, and school was still nine days away.

Helena locked her phone screen and closed her eyes.

A beautiful face appeared in her mind.

“Hello, my name is Kathleen. It’s a coincidence! We’re desk mates… Can I be friends with you?”

Helena suddenly opened her eyes, full of anger. “Friend? Kathleen, are you even worthy?”

She clenched her fists tightly, taking several deep breaths to calm her mind. Walking to the window, Helena tried to relax. A man’s face came to mind, making Helena frown.

She had done wrong to him first, canceling their engagement, getting pregnant with someone else, making him the joke of California.

But the proud man not only did not come after her, but also reached out to her and encouraged her to keep going when she was in pain.

It was a pity that at that time, she had already decided to die alongside those two scumbags and didn’t accept his kindness.

The vicissitudes of her previous life made her experience the warmth and coldness of human nature, and taste the joys and sorrows of life. If she had a chance in this life, she would repay him.
