Angelia instinctively took a step back, lowered her head even more, and said, “It should be.”
“Are you the person in the red dress?”

Jerome asked directly.”Are you suspicious of me because of the badge? Usually, badges are not worn on dresses, so how could it fall off from my red dress?” Angelia explained with a smile.

He reached out and touched her ear.

    Angelia shrank her neck.

Jerome said, “You and her have the same earring.”

Angelia pulled a smile and forgot about this detail because she was too anxious. “Maybe it’s just a coincidence.”

“Is it a coincidence or intentional? Angelia knows it in her heart. Stop your scheming before it ends in disaster,” Jerome said coldly, turning around.

Angelia could only smile politely, feeling scared inside.

In college, she thought Jerome was deep and difficult to get along with. Now, he was not just deep, but also unfathomable. His appearance alone could not describe his true nature.

“Do you need me to make you a cup of coffee?” Angelia asked kindly.

Jerome looked at her coldly and said, “Don’t put sugar in it.”

“Just wait a moment.” Angelia raised her head and turned to the pantry.

Her phone rang, and it was her colleague Darcey from the business department.

“Angelia, I heard that you became Jerome’s room manager?” Darcey exclaimed.

“Kate and June were too aggressive in their pursuit, and Wettiner didn’t think they were suitable, so he gave it to me,” Angelia explained helplessly.

“He’s a world-class billionaire, with a noble background, and he went to the United States alone. He took five years to dominate the European and American markets and became a commercial giant at the top of the upper class. He’s too amazing. I saw his photo, and he’s super handsome. His features are even better than those of an idol,” Darcey said.

“Clean your drool, he’s not something you can swallow,” Angelia reminded.

“What about you, do you want to eat?” Darcey teased.

Angelia laughed lightly and said, “You know me, I have a dirty mind but not the courage to act on it. Jerome is covered in thorns, like a hedgehog. I can’t eat him, and I don’t want to get thorns in my mouth.”

“If you can’t eat it, then you can’t eat it. Why are you describing a hedgehog?” Jerome’s unhappy voice sounded…
Angelia felt like she had been hit by Thad, inside and out.

How could he suddenly come to the pantry? The soundproofing equipment here is obviously very good.

She lowered her head and turned to Jerome, respectfully saying, “I’m sorry.”

“Sorry? Can everything be solved with just one sorry for making a mistake?” Jerome said meaningfully, placing the bucket of coffee in his hand on the kitchen counter.

“How about I apply to the manager and have someone else be your room manager?” Angelia said sincerely.

Jerome didn’t say anything, turned and walked out of the pantry.

She brewed the coffee he gave her and brought it to him.

He was already working at his desk, his gaze focused on the computer screen, typing away.

Angelia placed the coffee on his right hand side and gently said, “Mr. Taylor, your coffee. Do you want Chinese or Western food for dinner tonight?”

“I don’t need you to arrange anything for tonight, I have a dinner appointment,” Jerome said without looking at her.
“Then I’ll go out first.” Angelia took out the pager from her pocket and placed it gently on his desk. “If you need anything, just press the button and I’ll come over. I’ll be staying in your room tonight…”Jerome’s finger paused, and he looked at her with an unclear meaning.

Angelia guessed that he had misunderstood and explained, “There is a room for the manager to rest in the presidential suite, right next to the bathroom. If you lock the latch, I won’t be able to come into your room.”

“You talk too much,” Jerome said unhappily, shifting his gaze back to the computer.

Angelia pursed her lips and quietly left his room, coming face to face with a well-dressed man.

    “Hello,” Angelia greeted politely.

The man looked at Angelia, his eyes filled with admiration. “Hello.”

    Angelia entered the elevator.

The man went to room 1908 and asked, “Jerome, was that woman your room manager?”

“What’s wrong?” Jerome asked his assistant calmly.

“She’s really good-looking,” Whitfield said with a grin.

Jerome picked up his coffee and took a sip, looking at the black liquid. “Looks are all she has.”

“I heard that the room managers here are fighting over the chance to take care of you, and they’re all willing to do whatever it takes to spend a beautiful night with you,” Whitfield said with a suggestive expression.

“Am I that easy to seduce?” Jerome put down his coffee cup.

“So, you don’t like the room manager from earlier, right?” Whitfield probed.

Jerome smiled and said, “What makes her think she can get my affection?”

“Then I’ll pursue her,” Whitfield responded.

Jerome looked at Whitfield and said, “I’m giving you too little work, so you’re too idle, right?””Um… no,” Whitfield explained to Jerome, who was angry. “I just feel like we have a connection.”

“Focus on your work and don’t get distracted by women. Get out,” Jerome said coldly.

    Whitfield retreated cautiously.

Jerome drank all of his coffee in frustration, and the image of Angelia’s submissive demeanor flashed through his mind. Memories of that night five years ago also came flooding back, some still very clear.

Jerome sneered and pressed the call button.

Angelia’s pager in her pocket rang, but she didn’t want to go.

“Jerome is calling for you,” Kate asked enviously.

“He has a bad temper,” Angelia complained.

“He’s a great man, and he’s a bit temperamental. He was born with a diamond key. Why don’t I go for you? I’m not afraid of his temper. Just say you have other things to do,” Kate suggested.

“Okay, thank you,” Angelia handed her pager and room key to Kate.

“I’m free tonight too, so if you’re busy, let me go instead,” Kate hinted.

“Okay, thank you for your help.”

“No problem, friends help each other. I’ll go now,” Kate said as she touched up her makeup and headed to room 1908.
Jerome heard a knock on the door, glanced at it, straightened his back, and focused his gaze on the computer. “Come in,” he said in a deep voice.Kate entered the room and looked at Jerome. Her face turned red as she walked up to him and said affectionately, “I am Kate, the substitute manager. What can I do for Mr. Taylor?”

Jerome frowned and looked at Kate unhappily. “Where is Angelia?”

“Angelia is busy with other things. Mr. Taylor asked me to take care of anything he needs,” Kate replied softly.

Jerome glanced at the coffee cup on his desk and said, “Pour me a cup of coffee, no sugar.”

“Okay,” Kate took the cup, her eyes flashing with a glint as she looked at Jerome. “Mr. Taylor looks even better in person than on TV. No wonder Angelia is so infatuated with you.”

Jerome looked up at Kate and asked, “She’s infatuated with me?”
