With a ‘clang’, a black eight ball on the table is accurately hit into the hole.
Liam hands the cue stick to the waiter next to him, takes out a cigarette from his cigarette case, and heads towards the restroom.
Christopher Collins, leaning against the bar, signals to the woman sitting at the edge of the table.
The woman smiles coquettishly and immediately puts down her drink, twisting her waist gracefully as she follows.
Ten minutes later, Liam and the woman walk out one after the other, the latter’s exquisite makeup full of disappointment.
She walks up to the man at the bar and shakes her head, “Young Master Collins…”
Christopher walks up to Liam and asks, “Liam, still not working?”
Liam frowns.
He takes off his coat, which still has a lingering perfume scent, making him uncomfortable.
“You don’t really like men, do you?” Christopher laughs.
“Get lost,” Liam glances at him sideways.
“Just kidding!” Christopher rubs his chin and then analyzes seriously, “Didn’t we have meat dishes the night before last? And that woman you were with seemed pretty miserable, proving that the gun is not the problem!”
Liam is a cold person, and he has never had a woman by his side in all these years.
It’s not that he’s celibate, it’s…he can’t get it up.
He has consulted experts in this field, who all said that there is no problem, but even when faced with women who use the most seductive tricks, he has no impulse and even feels disgusted.
And he is sure that he has no interest in men.
He has been like this for years, until that night when his desire, dormant for thirty years, awakened completely.
Liam thinks of the tight feeling she brought him, and his lower abdomen tightens…
He takes the cue stick back from the waiter’s hand and clears his throat, “Let’s play.”Christopher also took the bat, but he patted his shoulder and smiled meaningfully, “Liam, you’re welcome. This is on us, brothers!”
Emily gently pushed open the door to the ward. It was quiet inside, and she tried not to make any noise, afraid of disturbing the rest of the two elderly people on the hospital bed. It was not an independent ward.
Grandmother’s clinical ward had an old lady of the same age who had lung disease. Although this was not conducive to grandmother’s recuperation, she couldn’t afford even the current ward.
Thanks to her best friend’s relief of ten thousand, plus the barely paid off debt from Ava last month, this month’s payment was still uncertain.
Emily put her grandmother’s hand on her face, and the warmth transmitted through the wrinkles made all the sadness of losing her mother and being beaten up for the first time cloud her eyes.
She wiped away a few tears and was afraid that her grandmother would find something strange when she woke up.
When she was eight years old, she lost her mother, and after Olivia’s son was aborted, although she was too young to send herself to the police station, Henry drove her out of the Miller family.
Since then, she has been living with her grandmother, so her grandmother is the only relative left in the world for her.
Emily looked at the sunset outside and thought of the roasted sweet potatoes that her grandmother loved to eat.
Although the doctor did not allow it, it was okay to eat a little less occasionally. She left quietly and walked across the street from the hospital.
She could see the vendors selling passionately from afar. Just as she walked to the entrance of the night market, she felt footsteps behind her.
Whether she sped up or slowed down, the footsteps were still there. When she was ready to turn around, her neck suddenly hurt, and she passed out.
