As soon as Peyton looked up, she could see his sharply defined profile.

Even at such a close distance, she could still smell his faint scent.

It was as fresh as spring, a familiar scent.

Steven’s voice rang in her ear lazily and sharply, “So, Brian, what do you want from me since it’s like this? Speak up.”
Brian was still pretending to refuse, “I don’t want anything, big brother.”

“She was already my woman last night, so in this life, she can only be my woman and can’t be touched by anyone else. Do you understand?”

Steven was a clean freak, so he said this, which was equivalent to declaring his sovereignty over Peyton.

Saying this, Steven lowered his head and looked at the woman in his arms.

He happened to see her looking a little lost and unhappy, and he narrowed his eyes and asked, “What’s wrong? Is it hard being my woman?”

    “Hard,” Peyton answered boldly.

“Oh? How is it hard for you?”

“Originally, I could have become the second Mrs. Murphy, but now…I can only be your secret lover.”

Steven laughed and used his finger to linger on her lips, “So many women want to climb into my bed, but they don’t have the chance, Peyton.”

Peyton retorted, “Wasn’t it you who climbed into my bed first?”

Brian was left on the side, ignored by the two of them, and could only cough forcefully twice.

Peyton looked at Brian and remembered that he had drugged her drink, and she couldn’t help feeling sad.
    However…she didn’t say anything.

Her words were insignificant, and they would only make her look more like a clown, helplessly performing her sadness and anger.

She just didn’t understand why Brian had to do this.

Did he choose her, get engaged to her, and wait for this day to send her to Steven’s bed?

Brian laughed and said, “Big brother, it’s just a woman. You don’t need to compete with me.”

“I don’t like to waste time.” Steven raised his eyes, “What exactly do you want, be straightforward.”The speaker has already said his piece, and Brian no longer pretends.

He straightforwardly says, “Brother, last time we raced, I lost and was depressed for several days.

How about this time, we race again, and the bet… is her. What do you think?”

Steven agrees readily, and Peyton becomes the bet.

But no one cares; she is a person, not an object.

Steven releases her and elegantly stands up from the sofa.

Peyton stands beside him, like a delicate doll, afraid to express her emotions.

Brian continues, “If you win, you’ll marry her. If I win, I’ll marry her.”

“Playing it big?” Steven raises his eyebrow and nonchalantly says, “But the position of Mrs. Murphy has been vacant for so many years, and someone should fill it.”

Brian is pleased but does not show it.

He just turns around and orders his men to prepare.

Peyton is surprised and cannot believe her ears.

She thought the outcome would either be her and Brian canceling their engagement or her becoming Steven’s mistress.

But Brian was clear just now; whoever wins, marries her.

Now the situation has changed to two other outcomes.

Either she becomes Mrs. Murphy or the second Mrs. Murphy.

Beside the racetrack, Steven takes off his suit and puts on a black and white racing suit.

Someone kneels in front of him and ties his shoes.

He asks Peyton to stand beside him and not leave a meter away.

He turns to her and asks, “Do you hope I win or lose?”

Peyton realizes the atmosphere is not right after she calls him “brother.”

    He seems to dislike it.

After she changes her address, she blinks and asks, “Steven, will you really marry me?”

    He answers, “Yes.”

    Peyton asks in disbelief, “Really?”

    He replies, “Really.”

Steven answered simply and clearly, but his gaze fell elsewhere and he didn’t look at her, which made Peyton uncertain.
“If you really marry, then I will really marry,” Peyton said seriously, regardless of whether he was listening or not.

“Anyway, marrying into the Murphy family, I won’t lose. As for who to marry, it’s not that important to me.”

Suddenly, Steven turned around and walked a few steps to her, leaning in close so that their noses touched and his hot breath sprayed on her face.

“You don’t care who you marry?”

Peyton quickly explained, “Uh…what I meant was, I don’t like Brian, so I’m not very disappointed…”

“If you dare to be disappointed, I’ll throw you out now,” Steven said, then lowered his head and bit her lip hard.

He really bit her, and Peyton winced in pain.

“You are mine,” Steven’s fingertips gently brushed over her bitten lip.

“What I want, I have never missed.”

Peyton looked at him, his handsome features and noble temperament making him look like he was sure to win. She couldn’t continue to look at him and her eyes wandered around.

Steven snorted and turned around to take the helmet from someone nearby, saying, “If I see you looking at Brian again, I’ll gouge out your eyes.”

Peyton rolled her eyes. This man really had a strong possessiveness…

Steven got on the car, his lips curling as he looked at the track, his gaze suddenly deepening. The outcome of this race was obvious, Brian would definitely lose on purpose so that Steven could marry Peyton. It wasn’t really a bet, it was a gift.

The roar of the racing cars filled the air, and Peyton watched as the two cars raced side by side from the beginning, then slowly pulled away from each other. The car in the lead was Steven’s.

Peyton understood that this was a gamble where the outcome was already known without having to compare, and she would be handed over to Steven by Brian. But her gaze still followed Steven’s car all the way, until the car crossed the finish line first with a beautiful drift and stopped.

Someone suddenly said beside her, “Miss Coleman, at this time, you should go forward to greet President Murphy as he gets off the car.”

She turned her head and asked, “Who are you?”

    “I’m President Murphy’s assistant, Richard.”

Peyton nodded and said softly, “Thank you for reminding me,” then walked towards Steven.
