Chapter 3: Giving a verbal lesson to the steward

“Yes, go back to the York family,” Wilbur chuckled, saying, “Madam told me that you fell ill after failing the exam and not being admitted to Liberty High School.

If you are willing to come back with me to the York family, your schooling will naturally be taken care of by the master, and the York family has great food, drinks and facilities.

” At this point, Wilbur looked around with disdain, “Much better than here.”

“No, I won’t,” Helena said coldly, “You, a butler who I have to call uncle, came to me. If I go back with you, won’t I be bullied?”

“This…” Wilbur’s face stiffened, “Miss is joking, it’s just a term of address. You can call me whatever you want.”

“Wilbur, you can leave,” Helena ordered, “I really like my home and don’t feel like it’s inferior to your York family.”

“This…” Wilbur was surprised that he was actually rejected by Helena. He looked at Yolanda and said, “Madam, please persuade Miss!”

“Helen…” Yolanda was very conflicted. She really didn’t want to leave her daughter, but, as the butler said, Helena would have a better life if she returned to the York family.

“Mom, you don’t have to persuade me,” Helena said with a cold glance at Wilbur, “You can go now! I need to rest.”

Wilbur’s words sounded sweet, but he was a complete scumbag, who knew what he was really thinking? Helena became stunned, suddenly hearing a soft whisper: “Why is this slut so ignorant? She could be living the high life, but chooses to live in this slum. Doesn’t she know what she is?”

Helena looked at Wilbur, who was lip-sealed and expressionless, but his eyes were filled with anger and hatred.

What was going on? Helena also became stunned. Could it be that she had just heard Wilbur’s inner voice? Thinking this way, Helena tried to probe, “Wilbur, I thought about it carefully, and returning to the York family does have some benefits.”

“I’m glad that Miss thinks so,” Wilbur replied happily in words, but in his heart, he thought, I knew this lowly person saw the money and didn’t care for anything else. Those few tricks were exposed long ago.

Listening to Wilbur’s exact words, Helena’s face turned cold.

She said Wilbur was a scumbag, but she still underestimated him.

 “Wilbur, if you want me to come back, show some sincerity from the York family. I don’t want to be looked down upon by you, a servant who was sent by the York family. I am also the daughter of the York family. Isn’t sending you here just to take me away disrespectful?”

After hearing Helena’s words, Wilbur’s face turned green and white, which was quite impressive. Even if Helena didn’t listen, she knew Wilbur was cursing her in his heart. Watching Wilbur walk away angrily, Helena rolled her eyes, but she knew that she could use her power to hear people’s inner voices only when she wanted to.

“Helen….” Yolanda was a bit stunned by Helena’s sudden change. Was this her docile and introverted daughter?

“Mom.” Seeing the expression on Yolanda’s face, Helena also knew that she had scared her mother, so she pouted and said, “Mom, I’m upset. Suddenly, there’s a father, and someone wants to separate us. I’m upset…”

“Darling.” Yolanda was also heartbroken for Helena and put her arms around her to comfort her. “If you don’t want to separate, then we won’t.”
