“So, are you going to give a second chance to your relationship?”

“I think I am.” I reply. “But I have no idea as to how to start, or even where to start. I don’t think suddenly getting back to him is a good option. I think probably we should take some time to know, understand and trust each other before giving a second chance to our relationship.”

They both nod at me understandingly.

“Anyway, I think I ought to get back to where I belong.” I say after a while.

“You mean Albert’s Pack?” Jolene asks.

    “No, to our pack house.”

    — Edward’s POV —

Albert, Herbert and I are having a conversation in the living room. But soon, we are interrupted by a knock at the door. I get up to answer the door and I find Victoria standing in front of me.

“Who is it?” Albert asks from the living room.

I step aside so that he can see the tiny figure of Victoria. Both Albert and Herbert are shocked judging by the look on their faces just like I am.

“Are you here alone, Victoria? Where’s your sister or your mom?” I ask Victoria.

“They are back at home.” She replies.

“Then whom have you come with?”

    “No one.”

“What?!” The three us exclaims in shock.

I go on my knees so that we are at the same level and say, “Victoria, you need to understand that you can’t go to places on your own. This is dangerous, because there are bad guys who may hurt you.”

“I know, but I just want to see you.” She says in an innocent tone.

“You could have come along with your sister or your mom.” I sigh.

“But it’s something that I cannot say in front them. I’d like to ask you a question, Edward.”

I get up and lead Victoria to the living room. I pick her up and place her on the couch. “What is it that you want to ask me?”

“Is he Albert?” Victoria points at Albert and asks.

    “Yes.” I answer.

    “Is he Elise’s Prince Charming?”

“What is Prince Charming?” I ask confusedly.

“I guess she wants to say mate.” Herbert remarks.

“What is a mate?” Victoria asks.

    “Mate is-”

“We believe that there’s someone made especially for us and we are supposed to live our lives with that some one forever.” Albert interrupts me as I was about to answer. “And that Someone is called mate.”

I turn to look at Albert. He must be thinking about Elizabeth now.

“So… is Albert Elise’s mate?” Victoria then continues to ask.

    “Yes.” I answer.

“Then why are they not together yet?”
