The atmosphere in the dining room became tense and awkward.

Caleb appeared indifferent, seemingly unconcerned, but the tightness of his jaw revealed his displeasure and anger.

    Lngram frowned even more noticeably.

After all, Helena was also his daughter, the young mistress of the house.

Theresia had always been mischievous, but she had never been so insensitive before, making her sister eat with the servants.

Wasn’t this a slap in the face for him as a father?

He had always felt that Helena had an improper temperament, hoping that the warmth of the family would change her.

But Theresia was going in the opposite direction, which dissatisfied him.

    “Well…”

Vanessa forced a smile and said, “Your sister is just joking with you. Auntie has told you before, hasn’t she? Your sister has always been mischievous and loves to joke.”

“That’s right, it’s just a joke! Helena, how come you can’t take a joke?” Theresia breathed a sigh of relief and rolled her eyes at Vanessa’s words.

“So, there’s nothing remarkable about manners, huh? After doing something disgraceful, as long as you say it was a joke, it’s all fine?”

    Helena feigned innocence and laughed.

“I understand now. Thank you, Auntie!”

“…” Vanessa was speechless and her face couldn’t have looked worse.

“If you dare to play such jokes again, I will discipline you with family rules!” Lngram said sternly, his face cold.

Usually, he spoiled her too much, but now she had crossed the line and broken the rules.

Theresia tightly pursed her lips, digging her nails into the edge of the chair on both sides of her body.

She knew that although Lngram didn’t usually have a close relationship with his children, he had never been so strict and severe with her before.

He even mentioned using family rules. It was all that wretched Helena’s fault.

After breakfast, Caleb and Lngram set off for work.

Helena returned to her somewhat gloomy room, while in the bedroom on the other side of the second floor with the best lighting, Theresia was throwing a tantrum.

“What is that wretched girl so proud of?

    She’s just a poor wretch.

Who does she think she is to be my sister?

    She should look at herself!

A wretched child born to a wretched woman!”

    “Have you caused enough trouble?”

Vanessa elegantly sat aside and glanced at Theresia.

Her voice was soft but commanding.

Luckily, Lngram and Caleb weren’t home; otherwise, it would be a mess.

Theresia pursed her lips and complained as she looked at Vanessa.

“Why did Grandfather bring her back? And personally go to pick her up! What does she think she is?”

After all, Lngram had never personally picked her up from school.

“It was your grandfather who brought her back,” Vanessa beckoned to Theresia.

When Theresia came in front of her, Vanessa raised the corner of her mouth, slowly extended her index finger, and touched Theresia’s lips.

“She’s just a jumping clown. It’s easy to deal with her, isn’t it? You are the rightful Miss of the York family. The York family’s catering business will belong to you and your younger brother. No one can take it away. Always be mindful of your words and actions.”

Seeing a hint of dissatisfaction in Theresia’s eyes, Vanessa raised her mouth and said, “Your cousin Zena hasn’t come to play with you for quite some time. How about you give her a call and invite her to play for a few days?” “Hmm!” Theresia’s eyes brightened upon hearing this, and she cursed in her heart, “Helena, I’ll teach you a lesson this time!”
