Angelia Green had a bit too much to drink, her face flushed as she leaned on the table, lightly tapping her glass with her fingers. Amidst the lively atmosphere, there was a faint sense of melancholy.

After graduating from university, everyone went their separate ways and pursued their own goals. Despite being classmates for four years, they were still reluctant to part ways.

“I heard that we’re able to come to such a high-end restaurant today because of Jerome Taylor’s money.”

“His family is a famous conglomerate in Detroit, involved in finance, entertainment, and real estate. He’s the sole heir, with just a wave of his hand bringing in billions of dollars. If I could have a relationship with him, I’d be at ease.”

“You’re dreaming. We were only in the same class for half a year in our first year of college. After that, he only came over to take exams. He’s now the CEO of the overseas investment department, and his demeanor is extraordinary.”

“It seems like he’s here today too, in the private room next door. The principal and the head teacher are all trying to flatter him. After all, with just a nod from him, many employment issues can be resolved.”

Angelia listened to her female classmates’ discussions while propping up her chin, smiling.

At least she had been classmates with the heir to the conglomerate. This was something she could brag about for a lifetime.

    “Angelia,” Torres called out.

Angelia, who was drunk, looked at her and asked, “What’s up?”

“Can you help me deliver this letter to Jerome and make sure he reads it? Then ask him to meet me in room 1802. Don’t mention my name in front of the principal and the others, I’m shy,” Torres said shyly.

Angelia hesitated, “What if he refuses?””Better than missing it, right? After today, I may never see him again. Torres asked, “Please, I don’t dare to see the principal or the head teacher.”

“Got it.” Angelia took the letter from Torres’ hand and went to the next room, knocking on the door.

“Come in.” The principal’s voice came out.

Angelia went in and bowed respectfully, “Hello principal, head teacher, secretary, and teachers.”

Jerome paused slightly, looked at Angelia, and became more serious.

He shook the red wine glass lightly, mature beyond his peers, luxurious, and seemed like a king who looked down on all heroes.

After Angelia finished shouting, she looked at Jerome, raised a smile apologetically, and whispered, “Jerome, I have something to tell you, can you come out for a moment?”

The principal and head teacher looked at each other and smiled.

There were no fewer than ten girls who came to confess their love today, but Jerome didn’t even look at them. Nowadays, girls are really bold. Who wouldn’t want a handsome, wealthy, and noble man like him?

After they finished laughing, they saw Jerome put down his wine glass, stood up, and walked towards Angelia.

    Principal: “…”

    Head teacher: “…”

    Jerome walked up to Angelia.

She had never been so close to him before, and found that he was so tall that his shadow could cover her entirely.

Angelia smiled slightly and handed him the letter, “Take a look at this.”

Jerome suspiciously took the letter from her hand and opened it.

The letter simply said: Jerome, I like you, I really like you, I like you very, very much, and I want to have a baby with you.

    Signed… Angelia.

Jerome looked at her.””Have you finished reading it?” Angelia asked suspiciously.

    “Um,” he replied heavily.

“So, shall we meet in room 1802?” Angelia asked softly.

Jerome looked at her blushing face, with an innocent and flawless appearance.

This bold invitation was unlike her usual quiet and gentle nature. “Have you had too much to drink today?”

“Um,” Angelia nodded, made a three with her fingers, and added a finger, saying, “Three bottles of beer, mixed with a little red wine, but luckily, I’m not drunk.”

“Then don’t regret it,” Jerome said to her.

    Regret what?

She didn’t understand the meaning of his words and casually replied, “Oh, so did you agree?”

Jerome looked at her deeply, his eyes flowing with waves. “I agreed.”

“That’s great, Jerome, you’re so good,” Angelia said happily, smiling and playfully pointing at Jerome, walking backwards a few steps, turning around, and returning to their private room.

Torres was standing at the door.

Angelia grabbed her shoulder and said happily, “Torres, he agreed, you got what you wanted.”

“What?” Torres turned pale, incredulously asking, “He agreed to meet in room 1802?”

“Uh-huh, you better go now, I’m going home too.” Angelia picked up her bag, leisurely left, and got on the bus.

Her home was on Park Avenue, only three stops away. She got off the bus and walked back home, swaying back and forth. In the dark, someone is making a phone call, “I saw her, she looks good and has a good figure…the date rape drug is ready, don’t worry, this drug will cause hallucinations, not make her fall asleep, I will take a video and send it to you.”

Angelia heard hurried footsteps approaching, turned her head, and saw a bald man approaching, and her arm suddenly hurt.

The bald man injected something into her, and she instantly felt dizzy. She had a bad feeling and pushed the bald man hard, ran forward, and shouted in panic, “Help, someone help me!”

The bald man grabbed her arm and said obscenely, “Beauty, don’t be afraid. I will take good care of you.”

“Get away.” Angelia shook her hand, but couldn’t shake him off.

She was weak and was pulled by the bald man. Her vision became increasingly blurry, and she felt a force holding her waist.

She was pulled into a strong embrace.

Angelia was very dizzy, confused, and her consciousness was unclear. She looked up and saw Jerome, stunned for a moment, her mind was blank, and she blurted out, “Jerome?”

    Jerome: “…”

“I went to room 1802, but someone else is staying there, you lied to me.” Jerome said in a low voice, very unhappy.

Angelia didn’t understand what he was saying, looked at the bald man, hugged Jerome tightly, and said, “Jerome, he harmed me.”

Jerome frowned in suspicion, glanced at the syringe on the ground, “You were drugged?”

“I don’t know who did it, you have to help me.” Angelia said seriously.

Jerome was helpless, picked her up and put her in the back seat, “I’ll take you to the hospital.”Angelia clung to his neck and pitifully said, “I’m not sick, I don’t want to go to the hospital. Are you going to find an excuse to lock me in the room?”

Jerome ignored her and sat next to her, instructing the bodyguard, “Go to the hospital.”

“You!” Anglia became anxious and hugged his waist, leaning her whole body on him. “I’m not sick, don’t leave me, okay?”

Jerome looked at her moving appearance, his thoughts fluctuating. Anglia, seeing that he disagreed, felt wronged and wanted to cry. Her breath fell on his face, carrying a hint of red wine’s fragrance.

“Why don’t you look at me?” Jerome, looking at her blurry appearance, meaningfully said, “The picture is too beautiful, I dare not look.”

“Beautiful?” Anglia followed his words and said, “You’re praising me, will you love me more in the future?”

Jerome looked deeply at her. She was the first person to be so compliant with him.

Anglia, seeing him not speaking, became panicked, afraid that he would lock her in a small dark room. She lowered her head and her mouth touched his lips.

Jerome’s spine stiffened. She was the first person to dare to kiss him forcibly. After all, no girl had ever been so close to him.

Anglia, seeing his lack of response, became confused and didn’t know what to do.

Jerome looked at her like a fluffy kitten, innocent and helpless, with a pair of big watery eyes that reflected him, making everything beautiful. His eyes were filled with affection.

After all, she was the first person he saw when he entered school.”He should find a girlfriend at his age,” the speaker said.

“Rankin, go to The Golden Spoon,” Jerome ordered the bodyguard.

    “Yes,” the bodyguard complied.

Angelia looked at the bodyguard, but before she could see him, Jerome turned her face towards him.

He held her chin and said dominantly, “Once you become my woman, will you still look at other men?”

“Hmm?” Angelia didn’t understand the meaning of his words yet, but he kissed her on the lips.

She felt dizzy and closed her eyes, feeling soft like water.

    Jerome deepened the kiss.

Suddenly, Angelia thought of something and stepped back, saying seriously, “Jerome, are you afraid?”

Jerome didn’t bother with her nonsense and kissed her lips one by one, hooking her chin.

The car stopped in front of the nearest hotel.

Angelia immediately leaned on the window, curious, “Jerome, are we going to sleep together?”

Jerome sighed helplessly, feeling more affectionate.

    “Focus a little,” he said.

“Oh, then you can only love me from now on, okay?” Angelia asked.

    Jerome looked at her deeply.

He didn’t make promises easily, but once he did, he would do his best to keep them.

Seeing her charming appearance, he responded, “Hmm.”

The bodyguard opened the car door.

He got out first, then stepped on the ground.

Angelia got out on her own, stumbling.

    Jerome picked her up.

    The bodyguard was shocked.

It was the first time he had seen Jerome treat a girl with such affection, no, it was the first time he had seen Jerome get so close to a girl…Angelia didn’t struggle, she leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Her breath fell on his neck.

Jerome looked at her and put Angelia on the bed, but she still had her eyes closed.

    “Angelia, Angelia,” Jerome called softly.

She didn’t respond, as if she had fallen asleep.

He didn’t force her and covered her with a blanket.

But the heat inside him didn’t dissipate, it was still tight.

He went to the bathroom, turned on the cold water, and stood under the faucet.

Angelia couldn’t sleep soundly and opened her eyes, looking towards the bathroom.

She walked unsteadily towards the door and pushed it open.

Jerome was naked, with strong reminders and powerful muscle lines.

He had been tossed by her all night and almost couldn’t sleep.

He didn’t expect that she was still a virgin.

He gave her the first time, which was good.

Jerome smiled indulgently, propping up his chin and looking at her sleeping face.

She was cute, like a little pig, tired and not moving.

    Her phone rang.

He was afraid of waking her up, so he took out her phone and saw that the caller ID was labeled “Husband”.

His heart tightened and his brow furrowed.

He answered suspiciously, “Who are you, and who are you looking for?”

“I’m Neville Johnson, and who are you? Is this Angelia’s phone number?” Neville was confused.”Are you Angelia’s boyfriend?” Jerome was shocked, he didn’t know she had a boyfriend.

“Yes, we’ve been together for five years and we’re getting married soon. Who are you?” Neville was getting impatient.

Jerome hung up the phone, his chest heaving, and looked at Angelia with a stern gaze.

She was about to get married and had invited him to the hotel, what did she take him for, a friend or a pre-marital fling?

As proud as he was, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he disdained to date a woman who already had a boyfriend.

He quickly got dressed and left in a hurry.

“Mr. Taylor.” The two bodyguards waiting at the door respectfully bowed their heads and called out.

“Erase all my information.” Jerome commanded coldly, glanced at the door, and left angrily.

Angelia slept until she woke up naturally, her whole body aching as if she had fallen apart.

She sat up, scratched her head, opened her eyes, and saw her clothes scattered on the floor, several used condoms in the trash can, and had a bad feeling.

Looking at herself in the bed, she wasn’t wearing any clothes.

She widened her eyes in shock, as if a lightning bolt had struck her brain.

She remembered getting off the bus and being injected with something by a bald man, but she couldn’t remember anything else, so… was she raped?

She rushed into the bathroom and took a long shower, becoming more and more angry. Who could it be?

She went to the front desk, “I’m a guest in room 803, I want to know the registration information of the guests in the room.”The receptionist looked strangely at Angelia and checked her computer. “There is only one guest information for room 803, and it belongs to someone named Angelia,” she said.

“What about the surveillance?” Angelia asked.

“I’m sorry, ma’am. Our surveillance has been down since yesterday,” the receptionist replied.

    “What?” Angelia started to panic.

Without any information from The Golden Spoon, she couldn’t be sure who had attacked her. And with no surveillance footage, she couldn’t identify the culprit. But she remembered the used contraceptive in the trash can, which could contain the DNA of the perpetrator.

She immediately went back to her room, but there was nothing in the trash can. Angelia sat on the bed feeling hopeless. Even if she reported to the police now, they wouldn’t be able to catch the attacker.

Her phone rang, and she saw that it was Neville’s. Feeling guilty and frustrated, she answered the call with red eyes.

“Angelia, where are you now?” Neville asked anxiously.

“Neville, I need to talk to you about something,” Angelia paused.

“Just come back first, my parents are already at your house,” Neville said impatiently, not giving Angelia a chance to speak, and hung up.

Angelia went back to her house, and as soon as she entered, Lillian Green spoke sarcastically, “Sister, you finally came back. Uncle and Auntie have been waiting for you for a long time.”

Angelia politely greeted them, “Uncle, Auntie.”

“I was just saying, Angelia, where did you go yesterday? You didn’t come back all night, and we were all worried sick,” Lillian’s mother intentionally said.

“I went to get my graduation certificate and attended a class reunion yesterday,” Angelia explained.

Lillian gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with jealousy and disgust. She directly pulled open Angelia’s collar and shouted, “Sis, why are there red marks all over your body, like hickeys?”

Angelia was shocked by Lillian’s behavior and tried to button up, but Lillian pulled it open even more.

Neville’s mother saw this and got angry, “Angelia’s father, how do you discipline your daughter? She’s about to marry Neville and yet she’s doing such vulgar things. This wedding is off.”

“Angelia, what’s going on here?” Angelia’s father asked angrily.

Angelia held onto her collar, lowered her head, and trembled with her eyelashes, unable to speak. She whispered, “I… raped someone last night.”

“What!” Angelia’s father stared at her incredulously.

Neville’s mother sneered, “Is it really rape, or did you just stoop so low that someone had to rape you?”

Angelia couldn’t say anything and looked at Neville.

Neville turned his head and didn’t look at her.

“You go upstairs first,” Angelia’s father ordered.

Angelia looked around at the disdainful looks from everyone and thought it was better to avoid them for a while. She went back to her room and thought more and more that something was wrong.

Her clothes were fine, so why did Lillian suddenly pull open her collar?

The only explanation was that Lillian knew everything.

She wanted to ask for a clear explanation and went out. Passing Lillian’s room, she heard Neville’s voice coming from inside, “Did you do it?”

“Yes, I did it. I’m already pregnant with your child. How can you marry Angelia? What about me and the baby? Do you want my child to call you uncle?”

Angelia felt fearful in her heart.

Lillian and Neville had been together for a long time.

They even got pregnant with a child! No wonder Neville always buys two gifts every time.

No wonder she saw Neville coming out of Lillian’s room several times.

No wonder he would accompany Lillian to go shopping, watch movies, and stroll around.

Is it because she is too stupid, or do they think she is too easy to bully, that they actually found someone to drug her and humiliate her in front of everyone?

Angelia angrily pushed open the door, “Lillian, have you lost your conscience? I always treated you as my own sister.”

“Who wants to be your sister? In the eyes of others, you are perfect, good-looking, well-proportioned, elegant, and academically excellent. Even the school is the best. I have always been compared to you!”

“Just for this reason, you found someone to harm me!” Angelia was very upset.

“Only by driving you away can my father’s property be completely mine.”

“Is that so? Then I will ask dad to decide whether to drive me away or drive you away.” Angelia’s eyes turned red, and she grabbed Lillian’s hand and pulled her out.

“Angelia, let me go, Neville, save me.” Lillian dug into Angelia’s hand. Angelia’s hand was full of blood marks she dug out. Neville pulled Angelia’s hand away, “Angelia, be gentle, you will hurt her like this.”

“Hurt her?” Angelia became irrational, clenched her fists, and her nails turned white, “She found someone to harm me, haven’t you thought that it would hurt me too? When you slept with her, have you ever thought that I would also feel pain?”

“Lower your voice, as an older sister, can’t you understand her willfulness? She is still a child.” Neville said disdainfully.Angelia found it really funny, “When he slept with her, how did he not think that she was still a child?”

“I will marry you, and we will be even. Anyway, you are no longer pure.”

“I became impure because of who? Marry me? Sorry, I am not that kind-hearted. I cannot forgive your wolf-hearted and dog-lunged behavior.” Angelia reached out to grab Lillian’s hand.

Lillian dodged and ran to the stairs, turning to Neville and saying, “Angelia doesn’t want you anymore. You can’t go back. You should know your own choices.”

“What do you mean?” Neville was confused.

“Neville, you will stand with me, right? I only have you as a man, and Angelia’s first time has already been taken by another man.” Lillian begged.

    Neville remained silent.

Lillian gritted her teeth and looked at Angelia with malice, then rolled down the stairs herself…

Angelia’s father and others heard the sound and ran over.

Lillian fell to the ground, pointing at Angelia, “Daddy, my sister pushed me down from above. It hurts so much.”

Angelia was stunned by Lillian’s performance and stared coldly at her, confirming, “I didn’t push her.”

    “Neville can testify,” Lillian said.

Angelia looked at Neville, who didn’t look at her, his eyes wandering, meeting Lillian’s hopeful gaze, and said in a deep voice, “It was indeed Angelia who pushed her.”

Angelia felt a momentary heartache, as if a knife was piercing her heart, but the stronger feeling was disappointment and anger.

Angry, she wanted to tear off their hypocritical faces.

But she was not their match, and fighting back would only make her more miserable. She said with a heartache, “You betrayed me first, Lillian had someone force me, and now you’re still spitting blood. Aren’t you afraid of retribution?”

“What are you talking about? If Angelia’s reputation is ruined and Lillian is defiled, then our Green family will never be able to hold our heads up again.” Lillian’s mother instigated.

“I’m not talking nonsense, the evidence is in Lillian’s belly, she’s pregnant with Neville’s child.” Angelia defended herself, her eyes turning red.

“So you went to sleep with a wild man to get revenge on Neville, falsely accused Lillian, and pushed her down the stairs. How vicious can you be!”

“Lillian drugged me, had someone force me, and she fell down herself.” Angelia raised her voice.

“Enough!” Angelia’s father glared at her. “Apologize to Lillian.”

“I did nothing wrong, why should I apologize?” Angelia stubbornly replied.

Angelia’s father forcefully demanded, “Either apologize or leave, it’s your choice.”

The mist in Angelia’s eyes deepened. “If I don’t apologize, are you going to let her steal my boyfriend? What are you going to do?”

“What stealing your boyfriend? If Neville doesn’t like Lillian, would they be together? The third party is the one who is not loved, and it’s your fault for willingly falling into that trap and pushing someone down the stairs.” Lillian’s mother scolded.

“The third party is the one who is not loved, so did you become the third party and drive away my mom because you weren’t loved?” Angelia became agitated.

“You ungrateful daughter!” Angelia’s father gritted his teeth and wanted to rush over to hit her.

“Dad, Mom, it hurts, there’s blood, I’m bleeding.” Lillian’s face turned pale as she tightly held her mother’s hand.

Angelia’s father became nervous when he heard the news and said, “Quickly prepare the car and go to the hospital. I will speak up for you.”

Neville rushed downstairs, picked up Lillian, and hurried outside.

Angelia watched as the Green family and Neville’s family accompanied Lillian as she left.

Even if she spoke eloquently, they would not believe her, not because what she said was unreasonable, but because they did not want to believe her.

Today, she had had enough of being wronged, betrayed, slandered, targeted, framed, and neglected here.

Even if Angelia’s father did not drive her away, she would leave on her own…

Five years later, in the conference hall of Marriott International, Kate from Group A and June from Group B argued fiercely over the authority to manage the rooms for major clients.

Last year, a Dubai tycoon stayed in their hotel’s presidential suite, and after the room manager took care of him for three months, he was taken to Dubai to live a rich life.

Everyone knew that the opportunity to take care of major clients was a chance to become a young madam if lucky.

Angelia lowered her head and twirled her pen, as if it had nothing to do with her.

“Angelia, Jerome graduated from Harvard Medical School, and I remember you also graduated from Harvard Medical School. You and he are alumni,” the general manager asked.

Angelia glanced at Kate and June and said, “Although we are alumni, we didn’t have many chances to meet. He only came for one semester, and we didn’t talk much, so we aren’t close.”

“You are the room manager for him. Take good care of him. He is the person our big boss invited, and he has a lot of investment power in his hands. Be sure to take good care of him.”June is not calm anymore, “Why give it to Angelia? Manager, you are biased.

Jerome is an important and wealthy person who hasn’t even married yet. He is rich enough to rival a country. I want to take care of him.”

The general manager’s face darkened. “Remember your position. You are the leader of Group A in the guest room department, not a beauty pageant judge.”

“But Angelia is from Marriott International’s business department. It’s not appropriate to transfer her to be the guest room manager,” June reminded.

“Special situations require special treatment. Angelia has worked in the guest room department before,” the general manager said, looking at Angelia. “Later, you will go and get the key for the Presidential Suite 1908. I will send you the instructions that Jerome’s assistant sent me.

Jerome’s plane arrives at 4:40 pm this afternoon, and I will go to the airport to pick him up at 3:30 pm.”

    “Uh…”

In the afternoon, Angelia was setting up Jerome’s room.

Her phone rang, and she saw it was Sammie Lopez. “What’s up?”

“Angelia, are you at the hotel?” Sammie asked anxiously.

“It’s working hours, of course, I’m at Marriott International.”

“I’m in room 823, and Read is here. There are reporters outside. Can you think of a way to get rid of them?”

“What?” Angelia was not calm anymore. “Don’t fool around with men in my hotel. Read is a celebrity. It’s not surprising that reporters are waiting for him.”

“It’s even more dangerous for me to play in someone else’s hotel. I recently invested in a drama for him. It’s only right to take advantage of the opportunity. Anyway, let’s not talk about this. If I get caught, you’ll lose face, right? Quickly think of a solution.”

Sammie hung up the phone after speaking.

Angelia had an impulse to slap Sammie twice. When she left home and returned to her grandmother’s, her grandmother was seriously ill and had no money for treatment.

She was pregnant and not working when she coincidentally met Sammie.

Sammie liked men and couldn’t have that kind of relationship with a woman.

His family forced him to get married and have a child, so he paid for her grandmother’s medical treatment and she became his nominal wife.

Angelia had no choice but to go to the door of 823.

The reporters were very persistent and the security guards couldn’t drive them away.

The best way was to attract them with bigger news.

The manager called, but Angelia hung up on him and said, “What? Adeline? Are you sure?”

As she spoke, more reporters looked at her.

Angelia glanced at them and didn’t say anything.

She turned into the hallway and made sure someone was following her.

She continued on her phone, “Adeline wants the room card for 1908.

    That room belongs to Jerome.

    Did Jerome agree?

    Give it to her.

We have a lot of reporters in the hotel now.

    She’s a top actress.

Let her dress up and go to Jerome’s room.”

After Angelia finished speaking, she went down the hallway and bought a red suspender skirt, frog mirror, headscarf, and mask from the nearby mall.

She went to the 19th floor fully armed, used the room card to enter room 1908, and saw the reporters appearing one by one at the door through the peephole.

Angelia smiled slightly and waited for all the reporters to arrive.

    She had prepared herself.

She took the manager’s clothes out of her bag, took off her red skirt, and prepared to change.

She heard the sound of the door opening and instinctively looked back.

Jerome came out of the bathroom…He had just finished taking a shower, his hair was still wet, and water droplets ran down his strong body, following the clear muscle lines.

He was only wearing a white towel wrapped around his waist, revealing his eight-pack abs, which were too tempting for Angelia, who turned her head in surprise.

Wasn’t Jerome supposed to arrive at the airport at 4:40 p.m.? How come he was already in the room so early?

She wore glasses and a mask, so Jerome probably couldn’t see her face.

She immediately put her dress back on and stuffed the hotel manager’s clothes into her bag.

Jerome walked towards her suspiciously and said coldly, “Who are you? How did you get into my room?”

“Oh, this is your room. The staff gave me the wrong room key, and I was also scared.” Angelia noticed his scrutinizing gaze and turned her body to face away from him as much as possible.

Jerome’s eyes became even colder. “Since you entered the wrong room, please leave.”

Angelia laughed nervously and felt guilty. There were reporters outside, and if she went out, it would probably be a terrible scene. “Are you sure?”

Jerome sneered at her reluctance to leave and her revealing outfit. “Get out.”

Angelia glanced at him and said, “Take care.”

Jerome didn’t understand her meaning, and Angelia opened the door.

A group of reporters rushed down and started taking pictures of them.

Angelia found a gap and slipped out.Jerome’s face darkened like a storm was approaching as he coldly said, “If anyone wants the company to go bankrupt, go ahead and release the photos.”

    The reporters remained silent.

After Angelia came out, she received a text message from Sammie, saying “Thanks, I’ve safely left.”

She didn’t even bother to reply and immediately went to the neighboring mall to change into the hotel manager’s uniform.

When she returned, she saw the general manager standing at the door and immediately approached him respectfully and looked up.

“Where did you go? Why didn’t you answer the phone?” Walden asked sternly.

“Um, Jerome’s assistant said that Jerome likes light perfume, so I went to the neighboring mall to buy some perfume,” Angelia explained.

Walden looked at her clothes and asked, “Where’s your name tag?”

“Huh?” Angelia looked at her clothes and realized that her name tag was missing. Did she leave it in the mall? Hopefully not in the Presidential Suite 1908.

“It might have fallen on the way. I have a spare in the dressing room,” she said.

“Hurry up, Jerome changed his flight and has already arrived,” Walden urged.

“Okay,” Angelia rushed to the dressing room.

Kate walked over and asked, “Angelia, did June go to room 1908 just now?”

“Did she? I don’t know, I was out,” Angelia smiled and opened the cabinet, stuffing her bag inside and taking her name tag off her clothes.

“She was wearing a sexy red camisole dress, like a vixen, and tried to seduce Jerome, but was kicked out,” Kate gloated.

Angelia’s hand trembled as she was wearing a red camisole dress and was kicked out.

She felt like they were talking about her and laughed nervously, “Maybe it’s just a rumor.”

“Angelia, if you’re busy, I can take over for you, especially at night, for free,” Kate offered.Angelia knew Kate’s intentions and made an OK gesture.

She went to the door of room 1908, took a deep breath, and knocked.

    “Come in.”

Angelia opened the door and saw Jerome sitting on the sofa.

He was wearing a black suit, mature, restrained, and abstinent, holding her name tag in his hand.

Angelia had a bad feeling and lowered her head, her eyes flickering.

She walked up to Jerome, looked up, and respectfully said, “Hello, Mr. Taylor, I am your guest room manager, Angelia, and I am happy to serve you.”

Jerome narrowed his eyes and looked at her gentle and obedient appearance.

It had been five years, but she looked virtuous, gentle, and elegant, as if all the advantages of women were concentrated in her.

    Jerome sneered, “Angelia.”

His name came out of his mouth with a hint of hatred.

Angelia’s heart trembled and she looked up at him anxiously.

Jerome’s gaze swept over the name tag in his hand and fell on Angelia’s face.

    “Is this yours?”

Angelia felt guilty and smiled, “I must have dropped it while arranging the room. Thanks to you for finding it, otherwise, I wouldn’t know where to look for it.”

    “Is that so?”

Jerome stood up, his imposing manner seemed to be able to instantly change the atmosphere, and an invisible pressure attacked her.

Angelia instinctively took a step back, lowered her head even more, and said, “It should be.”

“Are you the person in the red dress?”

Jerome asked directly.”Are you suspicious of me because of the badge? Usually, badges are not worn on dresses, so how could it fall off from my red dress?” Angelia explained with a smile.

He reached out and touched her ear.

    Angelia shrank her neck.

Jerome said, “You and her have the same earring.”

Angelia pulled a smile and forgot about this detail because she was too anxious. “Maybe it’s just a coincidence.”

“Is it a coincidence or intentional? Angelia knows it in her heart. Stop your scheming before it ends in disaster,” Jerome said coldly, turning around.

Angelia could only smile politely, feeling scared inside.

In college, she thought Jerome was deep and difficult to get along with. Now, he was not just deep, but also unfathomable. His appearance alone could not describe his true nature.

“Do you need me to make you a cup of coffee?” Angelia asked kindly.

Jerome looked at her coldly and said, “Don’t put sugar in it.”

“Just wait a moment.” Angelia raised her head and turned to the pantry.

Her phone rang, and it was her colleague Darcey from the business department.

“Angelia, I heard that you became Jerome’s room manager?” Darcey exclaimed.

“Kate and June were too aggressive in their pursuit, and Wettiner didn’t think they were suitable, so he gave it to me,” Angelia explained helplessly.

“He’s a world-class billionaire, with a noble background, and he went to the United States alone. He took five years to dominate the European and American markets and became a commercial giant at the top of the upper class. He’s too amazing. I saw his photo, and he’s super handsome. His features are even better than those of an idol,” Darcey said.

“Clean your drool, he’s not something you can swallow,” Angelia reminded.

“What about you, do you want to eat?” Darcey teased.

Angelia laughed lightly and said, “You know me, I have a dirty mind but not the courage to act on it. Jerome is covered in thorns, like a hedgehog. I can’t eat him, and I don’t want to get thorns in my mouth.”

“If you can’t eat it, then you can’t eat it. Why are you describing a hedgehog?” Jerome’s unhappy voice sounded…

Angelia felt like she had been hit by Thad, inside and out.

How could he suddenly come to the pantry? The soundproofing equipment here is obviously very good.

She lowered her head and turned to Jerome, respectfully saying, “I’m sorry.”

“Sorry? Can everything be solved with just one sorry for making a mistake?” Jerome said meaningfully, placing the bucket of coffee in his hand on the kitchen counter.

“How about I apply to the manager and have someone else be your room manager?” Angelia said sincerely.

Jerome didn’t say anything, turned and walked out of the pantry.

She brewed the coffee he gave her and brought it to him.

He was already working at his desk, his gaze focused on the computer screen, typing away.

Angelia placed the coffee on his right hand side and gently said, “Mr. Taylor, your coffee. Do you want Chinese or Western food for dinner tonight?”

“I don’t need you to arrange anything for tonight, I have a dinner appointment,” Jerome said without looking at her.

“Then I’ll go out first.” Angelia took out the pager from her pocket and placed it gently on his desk. “If you need anything, just press the button and I’ll come over. I’ll be staying in your room tonight…”Jerome’s finger paused, and he looked at her with an unclear meaning.

Angelia guessed that he had misunderstood and explained, “There is a room for the manager to rest in the presidential suite, right next to the bathroom. If you lock the latch, I won’t be able to come into your room.”

“You talk too much,” Jerome said unhappily, shifting his gaze back to the computer.

Angelia pursed her lips and quietly left his room, coming face to face with a well-dressed man.

    “Hello,” Angelia greeted politely.

The man looked at Angelia, his eyes filled with admiration. “Hello.”

    Angelia entered the elevator.

The man went to room 1908 and asked, “Jerome, was that woman your room manager?”

“What’s wrong?” Jerome asked his assistant calmly.

“She’s really good-looking,” Whitfield said with a grin.

Jerome picked up his coffee and took a sip, looking at the black liquid. “Looks are all she has.”

“I heard that the room managers here are fighting over the chance to take care of you, and they’re all willing to do whatever it takes to spend a beautiful night with you,” Whitfield said with a suggestive expression.

“Am I that easy to seduce?” Jerome put down his coffee cup.

“So, you don’t like the room manager from earlier, right?” Whitfield probed.

Jerome smiled and said, “What makes her think she can get my affection?”

“Then I’ll pursue her,” Whitfield responded.

Jerome looked at Whitfield and said, “I’m giving you too little work, so you’re too idle, right?””Um… no,” Whitfield explained to Jerome, who was angry. “I just feel like we have a connection.”

“Focus on your work and don’t get distracted by women. Get out,” Jerome said coldly.

    Whitfield retreated cautiously.

Jerome drank all of his coffee in frustration, and the image of Angelia’s submissive demeanor flashed through his mind. Memories of that night five years ago also came flooding back, some still very clear.

Jerome sneered and pressed the call button.

Angelia’s pager in her pocket rang, but she didn’t want to go.

“Jerome is calling for you,” Kate asked enviously.

“He has a bad temper,” Angelia complained.

“He’s a great man, and he’s a bit temperamental. He was born with a diamond key. Why don’t I go for you? I’m not afraid of his temper. Just say you have other things to do,” Kate suggested.

“Okay, thank you,” Angelia handed her pager and room key to Kate.

“I’m free tonight too, so if you’re busy, let me go instead,” Kate hinted.

“Okay, thank you for your help.”

“No problem, friends help each other. I’ll go now,” Kate said as she touched up her makeup and headed to room 1908.

Jerome heard a knock on the door, glanced at it, straightened his back, and focused his gaze on the computer. “Come in,” he said in a deep voice.Kate entered the room and looked at Jerome. Her face turned red as she walked up to him and said affectionately, “I am Kate, the substitute manager. What can I do for Mr. Taylor?”

Jerome frowned and looked at Kate unhappily. “Where is Angelia?”

“Angelia is busy with other things. Mr. Taylor asked me to take care of anything he needs,” Kate replied softly.

Jerome glanced at the coffee cup on his desk and said, “Pour me a cup of coffee, no sugar.”

“Okay,” Kate took the cup, her eyes flashing with a glint as she looked at Jerome. “Mr. Taylor looks even better in person than on TV. No wonder Angelia is so infatuated with you.”

Jerome looked up at Kate and asked, “She’s infatuated with me?”

“Yes, Angelia has collected a lot of information about you. Whenever you appear in a magazine, she buys it and cuts out your picture to paste in her notebook. She was originally in the business department, but when she found out you were coming, she fought to become your room manager. She’s not a professional, so she may not do everything perfectly. Please forgive her,” Kate said softly.

Jerome kept his eyes on the screen and continued to work, expressionless and cold.

Kate couldn’t read his thoughts and reminded him, “If you think Angelia is not suitable, you can choose someone else designated by our manager.”

    “Okay,” Jerome replied.

Kate happily went to pour the coffee.

Angelia didn’t have much work today and left early to buy chicken wings, pork elbows, tomatoes, and tofu at the market.

She wanted to cook dishes that Alyssa loves.

Upon opening the door, Alyssa’s childish voice could be heard saying to the housekeeper, “Why is my mom always making things difficult for me? It’s causing me so much stress, I can’t even focus at preschool.”

“What did I do to make you lose focus?” Angelia asked.

Alyssa turned around, her face identical to Angelia’s when she was a child, and complained, “You made me too beautiful, so many boys are chasing after me. I don’t like kids, they’re too annoying.”

Angelia laughed, “Well, that’s my fault then.”

“You’re at fault for not finding a better husband. I need someone reliable to be a good dad. I have to do everything myself,” Alyssa said like a little adult.

“Well, that’s really hard on you,” Angelia replied.

“I don’t have a choice. You’re always working and can’t be relied on. I have to do things myself to get them done faster,” Alyssa said as she turned on the TV and saw Jerome on the news.

She clicked on his picture and said, “Mom, I like this guy. Maybe he was my lover in my past life.”

Angelia glanced at Jerome’s picture on the TV screen and said, “He only has one thing in common with your past lover – gender,” and then went into the kitchen.

An hour later, there was a knock at the door.

Angelia came out of the kitchen and saw Sammie’s mother had arrived. She greeted her, “Mom, you’re here. We’re just about to have dinner, why don’t you join us?”

Amanda Charles looked down on Angelia and asked, “Can your cooking even be eaten?”

“It’s alright, we’re living healthily,” Angelia replied with a smile.Amanda Charles’ gaze swept over Angelia’s flat stomach, and she couldn’t help but exclaim, “What’s the use of being healthy? You’ve been married to Sammie for five years and only gave birth to a worthless girl. Our family’s huge industry needs a boy to take over. If there’s still no news in your stomach, what good is your health?”

Angelia pursed her lips and didn’t say anything. Amanda Charles gave her a disdainful look and ordered, “Don’t go to work at the hotel anymore. It’s embarrassing to even say it out loud. Take care of your husband well. If you can’t give birth to a son, then get out of my sight.”

Alyssa threw the remote control and looked at Amanda Charles, “Grandma, are girls really worthless?”

“Of course,” Amanda Charles said without hesitation.

“Then you’re worthless too, grandma,” Alyssa said bluntly.

Amanda Charles flew into a rage and pointed at Angelia, “How did you teach your child?”

“Mom never taught me that girls are worthless. Wasn’t it grandma who said that?” Alyssa retorted.

Amanda Charles became even more furious, “If Sammie hadn’t said you were pregnant with a boy, I wouldn’t have agreed to let you in.”

    “Grandma, you’ve gone too far.”

Amanda Charles slapped Alyssa in the face, and Angelia grabbed Amanda Charles’ hand, “Mom, children speak their minds. Why bother with a child?”

“I think you’ve spoiled her too much. If you can’t give birth to a son, don’t expect to get a penny from Sammie,” Amanda Charles said angrily as she walked away.

“Mom, don’t be afraid. Whoever bullies you, I’ll bully them,” Alyssa said, patting her chest.

Angelia looked at Alyssa’s mature appearance and smiled. They say that daughters are their mother’s little cotton jackets, a warm and comforting presence.

After finishing dinner, Angelia had just put Alyssa to sleep when her phone rang. She immediately silenced the ringtone and answered the call after leaving the room.

“Where are you?” Sammie sounded a little drunk.

    “At home.”

“Come to Room 308 at The Jolly Roger Pub, now, immediately, right away.”

“No, I’m not coming.” Angelia refused firmly. She didn’t want to enter Sammie’s shady circle.

“I have something important to tell you, you have to come, it’s about my mom wanting a grandson.”

Angelia also wanted to resolve this matter, so that Amanda Charles wouldn’t keep bothering her and it wouldn’t be good for Alyssa’s growth.

She looked at her watch, it was only 8:10 pm. “I’ll be there in a while.”

In the private room, besides Sammie, there was a man whom Angelia didn’t know. He was handsome, with features no worse than Read’s, wearing a white shirt and black trousers.

Sammie put a glass of alcohol in front of Angelia. “Drink it.”

Looking at his drunken state, Angelia said rationally, “We need to discuss important matters, I don’t think it’s suitable to drink.”

Sammie burped and pointed to the man opposite, “He’s Quinton, a model who returned from studying abroad in the United States. He’s skilled, good-looking, knowledgeable, and most importantly, bisexual. Later, the three of us will be together until you give birth to a son.”

Angelia’s eyes were about to roll to the sky, and an unnamed anger rose from her heart.

“You can be as disgusting and vulgar outside as you want, but we only have a contractual relationship and live our own lives. Don’t cross my bottom line with your filth.” Angelia stood up.Sammie held Angelia’s hand and said, “I spent four hundred thousand for a daughter. If you give birth to a son, I will give you four million plus a house.”

Angelia sneered. She had only agreed to marry him to save her grandmother. She didn’t care about his money.

“I will repay the four hundred thousand as soon as possible, and you can easily find another woman who is pregnant with a son to marry,” Angelia said, shaking off his hand.

Sammie stood up unsteadily and said, “The four hundred thousand from five years ago is now worth one million. Many people would love to be the young madam of the Sammie family.”

“Well, then go find them,” Angelia replied indifferently, walking towards the door.

Sammie grabbed Angelia’s arm and warned her angrily, “Don’t ruin my mood, Angelia. You have to do it today, even if you don’t want to.”

“Get lost,” Angelia said, biting Sammie’s arm and freeing herself.

Sammie let go of Angelia, who immediately ran outside. “Catch her, I don’t believe it. Let’s see who’s the S and who’s the M today,” Sammie shouted frantically.

Quinton immediately got up to chase Angelia. She turned a corner, but he caught up with her. She pushed open the door to a private room and went under the table.

As soon as she got under the table, the door was pushed open. Angelia held her breath and saw several feet, but only one person sat down.

“Sorry, Mr. Taylor, the acquisition did not go as planned because Mr. Charles senior was too stubborn and Ms. Charles intervened,” Wallace said nervously.

Jerome sat in the main seat, tapping the table rhythmically with his fingers and looking at Wallace. “I’m not here to listen to your excuses, but I need you to provide a solution. I must succeed in this acquisition.”

“Amanda Charles provided false data for the IPO, and many of its subsidiaries have various problems. We plan to start with Amanda Charles Pharmaceuticals.”

“I’ll give you one week. If you don’t do well, pack up and leave,” Jerome said.

“Yes,” Wallace and his team replied fearfully.

    “Sit down.”

Jerome spoke, and they dared to sit down.
