    Corbyn Family.

With a loud bang, the jujube tree in the yard trembled and its leaves fluttered down. There was no need to look; everyone knew who had returned.

Lord Corbyn, sitting under the grapevine, cursed, “You little rascal, how many times do the traffic police catch you on average in a year?”

Ronald Corbyn jumped off the car and replied, “Grandfather, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but not even once.”

“Hmph!” Lord Corbyn expressed his dissatisfaction.

Ronald Corbyn sat opposite Lord Corbyn, poured himself a cup of tea, and drank it in one gulp.

Lord Corbyn complained again, “Can’t you drink tea properly? You’re wasting my good tea leaves.”

“I was really thirsty,” Ronald Corbyn put down his teacup, “Grandfather, it’s not the weekend, so why did you call me back?”

“Hey, is it difficult for you to have a meal with me?”

    “It’s a hassle.”

Lord Corbyn pretended to throw a cup at him, but Ronald Corbyn didn’t even make an evasive move. He coolly said, “I can tell from your eyes that you can’t bear to part with your precious teacup.”

    “Get lost.”

“I’m leaving. You must be very lonely. Here, Grandfather, let me pour you some tea.”

Only then did Lord Corbyn feel a little satisfied, smiling as he looked at Ronald Corbyn.

The Corbyn Family is a military family, and whether boys or girls, they are born to be good soldiers. Ronald Corbyn is no exception.

From a young age, he was thrown into the military for training. His individual performance was excellent, surpassing even his father and older brother when they were privates.

But this little rascal, after completing his mandatory military service, stubbornly refused to continue serving in the military. He was scolded by everyone, and despite being grounded for three months, he didn’t compromise.

After causing chaos in the entire family, he went out and started a business, becoming the only non-military member in the Corbyn Family, a merchant with a strong smell of copper.

He almost drove them all to death!

However, over time, Lord Corbyn became quite satisfied with his grandson’s choice.

At least the grandson could come home often. With just one phone call, the grandson would rush back to accompany him.

Unlike our son and daughter-in-law, as well as our eldest grandson and his wife, who prioritize the nation and follow military orders, they need the government to arrange their leave before they come back.

Ronald Corbyn placed the teacup in front of Lord Corbyn with both hands and said, “Grandfather, drink. After you finish, tell me why you called me back.”

“Do I need a reason to call you back?”

“At the very least, I am the busy Mr. Corbyn handling important affairs. I rush back as soon as you make a phone call. It’s embarrassing. Please give me a valid reason, otherwise, I will refuse to come back next time.”

“You’ve gone too far.” Lord Corbyn said with a huff. After finishing his tea, he continued, “Do you remember your Uncle Wilson?”

A flash of Tina Wilson’s tearful but resilient face appeared in Ronald Corbyn’s mind, and he nodded.

“Your Uncle Wilson is sick recently, and no one else from our family is at home. You will represent our family and visit him,” Lord Corbyn said.

Wilson Family’s patriarch used to be one of his soldiers, sacrificing himself to save Lord Corbyn during a battle. Knowing that Wilson Family was facing difficulties, Lord Corbyn bought a four-bedroom, two-living-room house in an upscale neighborhood next to the military district to accommodate the Wilson Family.

Wilson Family’s patriarch’s son, Steve Wilson, wasn’t particularly capable, so Lord Corbyn helped him find a stable job.
The two families used to visit each other frequently a few years ago, but the distance between them grew over time. Steve Wilson was also a person with a thin face and didn’t feel comfortable taking advantage of his own family’s benefits to climb the high branches of the Corbyn Family.

Steve Wilson’s tactfulness made Lord Corbyn pay attention to the Wilson Family. If Wilson Family had any major issues, he would lend a helping hand.

Ronald Corbyn nodded, “Just this matter? You could have told me directly over the phone.”

“There’s another thing I need you to investigate.”

    “What is it?”

“I heard that the eldest daughter of the Wilson Family is an architect. These days, she sold her design drawings for a cheap price, just over a million. It doesn’t seem like something a first-class architect would do. Look into it carefully. It would be a shame if the Wilson Family, who finally produced a promising talent, gets messed up like this.”

So, Tina Wilson was crying because of that incident.

“I will have someone look into it. Grandfather, your eagerness is a bit unusual. What else are you hiding?”

“I’m not telling you.” Lord Corbyn winked cunningly, continuing to sip his tea with a smile.

Ronald Corbyn immediately felt a chill running down his spine.
