Chapter 3
by soul-beautyEveryone thinks her job is easy and pays well, but they don’t realize the pressure she faces and the toll it takes on her body due to staying up late frequently.
The design that they sold was the result of three months of on-site research, frequent changes to previous designs, and collaboration with her project team.
Everyone was confident as they took the design to the bidding meeting, only to see one of the competing companies present an identical design. Everyone went crazy.
Tina Wilson never expected that the design would leak from her hands. Vera Wilson and her mother sold the design, worth 30 million, for only 1.5 million.
She had spent ten years studying architecture, and all her hard work and effort went down the drain. Even if her level was top-notch in the industry, no one would dare to use her again.
Tina Wilson thought of this and tears rolled down her face. She really hated Vera Wilson and her mother this time.
Suddenly, a harsh braking sound came from her ear. Tina Wilson turned her head in the direction of the sound with her tearful eyes, but she couldn’t see anything.
She wiped her tears several times before she could slightly see the car that had just stopped one centimeter away from her. If it had moved forward another centimeter, she would have been hit.
Even though she was extremely dazed now, she was still startled. In her blurry vision, a pair of spotless leather shoes suddenly appeared, followed by a pleasant male voice: “Are you okay?”
Tina Wilson wiped her tears and replied, “I’m fine.” She looked up at the man in front of her and was stunned.
The man had perfect features with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. The lips are moderately thick and tightly pursed, with a kind of rigid temperament that is not angry but intimidating.
Ronald Corbyn was surprised to see Tina Wilson’s face and asked uncertainly, “Are you Uncle Wilson’s eldest daughter?”
“Hello, Ronald,” Tina Wilson was embarrassed and quickly wiped away her tears so as not to embarrass herself.
Ronald Corbyn frowned unhappily when he saw the slap marks and tears on Tina Wilson’s face and looked in the direction she had just come from.
He had heard about the Wilson family and had heard the most about Uncle Wilson’s eldest daughter, who had been a top student since childhood and had become a first-class registered architect at a young age.
It was a little unreasonable for someone who should have been worshiped as a goddess to cry on the street in broad daylight.
“What happened?”
Tina Wilson was afraid that if she mentioned her mother and Vera Wilson again, she would lose control of her emotions again, so she changed the subject and said, “Ronald, you came back to see Lord Corbyn? Then you should go back earlier and not keep him waiting for too long. Goodbye.”
Tina Wilson wanted to leave after she finished speaking.
The Corbyn family lived in the military compound next to her house.
Except for Ronald Corbyn, who was in business, everyone else was a military officer with high positions in the military.
Faced with the unattainable Ronald Corbyn, she didn’t want to be too embarrassed in front of him, even if she hadn’t thought about Ronald Corbyn.
After confirming that she was not injured, Ronald Corbyn turned and got into the car and drove into the military compound guarded by guards.
Vera Wilson was still frightened by what Tina Wilson had said.
“Mom, is what Tina Wilson said true? She really won’t take care of us anymore? She won’t pay for dad’s medical expenses?”
“How dare she! She is still your father’s daughter, and as a daughter, she cannot shirk her responsibility when your father is sick.”
“Mom, I have to say that you were too impulsive yesterday. Why did you go to her apartment to take a few cameras and money? Didn’t you know that those design drawings were more important to her than her own life?”
