Chapter 3
by soul-beautyWho knows, when Steven heard it, he frowned unhappily. His voice was deep, low and very pleasant: “Call me by my name.”
“How can I do that? You are Brian’s brother, and it’s only right and polite for me to call you big brother, not just your name. It’s too impolite,” Peyton suddenly felt her chin ache as Steven had already pinched her, his fingertips rubbing against her cheek.
“Are you trying to remind me all the time that you are my brother-in-law?”
“I am already your brother-in-law,” she said.
His strength suddenly increased, and his fingers pinched tighter and tighter. Peyton endured the pain in her chin and forced herself to meet his gaze.
It has to be said that Steven’s aura was too strong, and she was no match for him.
“So what if you are my brother’s fiancée?” Steven pushed her into the corner, his big hand holding her slender waist.
“If I remember correctly, last night, you were a first-timer.”
Last night, again!
Peyton finally understood what it meant to make a mistake while drinking!
“Brian really hasn’t touched me, but who says a woman’s first time has to be bloody? As long as I deny it…” she tried to argue.
Steven interrupted her: “Are you sure? What if I took you in front of him?”
Peyton bit her lip tightly.
“You…pervert!”
Steven let go of her chin, and his slender fingertips slid down her mouth slowly. Peyton stiffened, not daring to move, and could only bite her lip tightly and shrink into the corner.
Steven had already approached her, and exhaled hot air in her ear: “Don’t be so nervous. Such beautiful red lips, leaving marks on them wouldn’t be pleasing to the eye.”
Suddenly, Peyton remembered the rumors about the man in front of her in Golden Valley.
Cold, aloof, never smiling, with supreme status, and an unpredictable temper. But she couldn’t tell that the man in front of her who always said things that were not fit to be heard was the rumored Steven.
This just doesn’t add up.
He must be deliberately teasing her.
But Peyton can’t afford to play around.
If she didn’t marry Brian, she would lose her status and her money.
She needs money, and for money, she can sacrifice her marriage.
Steven’s hand has already reached into her collar, and his fingertips have a thin callus layer.
Peyton can feel every movement clearly.
She almost cried.
Seeing her like this, Steven suddenly sneered, pushed her away, and left her without hiding his displeasure and disgust.
Peyton tightly grasped her collar with one hand and forced her tears back.
She slowly raised her eyes and suddenly stared at the living room door, staring blankly at the entrance.
Brian didn’t know when he came, just standing at the entrance of the living room, arms folded, watching everything that happened inside.
Peyton was desperate.
Now she couldn’t explain, nor could she defend herself.
Steven turned around and glanced at Brian, but said nothing, coldly sitting on the sofa.
Brian’s gaze swept over Peyton’s face, not paying attention to her at all, but instead smiled and greeted Steven, “I didn’t expect you to be here today. I thought you went to the company.”
“Where’s the fun in going to the company? It’s rare to meet such an interesting woman,” Steven replied indifferently, with a lazy tone.
Peyton looked at the two men, she couldn’t afford to offend either one, so she chose to remain silent and lower her presence.
Brian must have seen what happened just now, but she didn’t know what he was thinking.
Brian smiled and said, “Peyton is indeed very interesting. Since we are all here, big brother, let me introduce you. This is Peyton, my fiancée.”Peyton looked nervously at Steven, unsure of what he would say.
Steven repeated her name softly, “Peyton, Peyton…”
Each time he said her name, Peyton felt her heart skip a beat.
“Peyton, come here,” Brian called out.
“This is your big brother, come say hello, don’t be shy, we’re all family.”
Peyton walked over, hesitating as she approached Steven.
Suddenly, she heard a deep voice say, “Stop, come here.”
Peyton turned to look at Steven and obediently stayed where she was.
Steven looked at her and asked, “Are you deaf?”
She immediately began to plead, “Big brother, I…” but Steven had already turned his attention to Brian.
“I want this woman, Brian. Just as you wished.”
Brian laughed, “What are you talking about, big brother? I don’t understand. Peyton is my fiancée, our engagement has already been arranged.”
Steven smirked and said, “Last night, you had someone put drugs in her drink and then you called me to her room in your name, all so I would say this sentence, right?”
Peyton, standing between the two men, was confused and didn’t know which one to go to.
But when she heard Steven’s words, her mind exploded, “What…what did you say? Drugs?”
Brian’s face changed, he didn’t expect Steven to be so direct and blunt, making him feel embarrassed.
Finally, he had to admit, “Big brother…you’re really smart.”
This sentence was equivalent to admitting what Steven had just said.
Peyton suddenly felt dizzy and couldn’t stand still, her mind was full of the words “drugs”.
Before she could think, a strong arm had already reached out and pulled her into an embrace.
Peyton was caught off guard and felt a tightening around her waist as she was pulled onto a soft leather sofa.
When she came to her senses, she was already in Steven’s arms.
