Angelia looked at the people who were originally in the van, and only two of them were Thad’s people, while the other four were Jerome’s.

No wonder when she was at the villa, she told Jerome that someone had infiltrated his home, but he was not worried at all.

It turned out that his plan of deception had already begun.

He deliberately flirted with her in the villa to show Thad’s people, telling Thad that she might be Jerome’s woman.

Putting the ring on her ring finger was to confirm to Thad that she was Jerome’s woman, which was of great significance to Jerome.

At the restaurant, when he said that she was not a woman that Thad could touch, it was just a provocation to anger Thad and create enmity.

In addition, his people were helping Thad come up with ideas, so Thad naturally thought of kidnapping her to force Jerome to confess.

So Jerome did not arrange for her to stay at The Silver Plate, which was heavily guarded, but at a so-called friend’s house, and he left on the pretext of being convenient for Thad to catch her.

In fact, everything was already in Jerome’s hands.

Such a well-planned scheme, such seamless execution, such careful planning, and such deep scheming.

No wonder he became a giant in the business kingdom at such a young age.

Indeed, he was full of foresight and deep insight. She was like a puppet, manipulated by him in his game like a clown, even thinking of dying for him to ensure his safety.

The more she thought about her behavior just now, the more stupid she felt, just like five years ago, when she was betrayed for so long but still immersed in the happiness of a little woman, and finally was physically and mentally devastated.

Was she really too naive, or was human nature too wicked, or…she had never really seen through men…that’s why she was fooled again and again.

Sammie just didn’t bother to pretend in front of her, men’s pretense was too scary.

    She was not Jerome’s match.

Thad was taken away by the police, and Angelia hadn’t recovered yet.

It wasn’t until Jerome came over to help her untie the rope and tear off the tape on her face that the stickiness of the tape tore her lips, blood oozing out, and the pain made her realize the reality.

Jerome frowned, his thumb caressing her lips, his eyes full of heartache, and he asked, “Are you okay?”

Okay? She was caught in the car, thinking she was going to die, do you know how reluctant she was? How worried about Alyssa and her grandmother? Her grandmother was in poor health. If she knew she was dead, she would definitely not be able to bear it. Alyssa was still young, Sammie’s family didn’t like her, especially Amanda Charles, if she died, they would definitely bully Alyssa, the best result would be for Alyssa to go to an orphanage and be adopted by a kind couple.

He asked if she was okay!

In the car, she tried to commit suicide several times, even if she got off the car, she thought about how to jump off the cliff to protect him. She almost really died…tears swirled in her eyes, the chill in her heart was too heavy, and it turned the water into ice, unable to flow out.

It’s normal to think about it.

Jerome started to design Thad a year ago, tricked her, and incidentally, who made her heart flutter and automatically became his pawn.

Complaining, hating, and being angry were useless.”I know that I am being used, but I can only endure and smile. This is life. Even if I am helpless, unwilling, and disgusted, I can only do this because I need to survive.”

“It’s okay,” Angelia smiled, but her eyes were already cold and devoid of any warmth. “I’m fine.”

“Did I scare you earlier?” Jerome apologized.

“You said you would ensure my safety and make me trust you, didn’t you?” Angelia accused.

She turned around and looked at the sea, casually saying, “This place is beautiful.”

“I booked a sea-view room nearby, right by the beach. Let’s go now, it’s time for dinner,” Jerome looked at his watch.

He even booked a sea-view room.

    Ha.

Is he going to trick her into bed next?

Angelia looked at the sea with droopy eyes.

The sea was vast and endless, just like Jerome. It contained so many things, many of which were still unexplored by humans. How could she, a small and insignificant person, see through Jerome?

“When are we going back?” Angelia asked lightly.

“You just adjusted to the time difference, so as an employee benefit, you can stay here and play for a few days,” Jerome stood beside her.

“Just play? I don’t have to do anything else?” Angelia looked at him plainly.

“Thad’s matter has been resolved, but I still have some follow-up work to do, and the new project manager won’t be here for a few days,” Jerome explained.

She still didn’t understand what he wanted her to do. Just like these past few days, she didn’t know what Jerome wanted her to do, but she was already part of his plan.

“If there’s nothing for me to do, I want to go back early. I miss Alyssa,” Angelia expressed directly.

“I’ll have someone bring her here. Hasn’t she always wanted to fly on a plane abroad?”

Angelia’s eyes became clearer. “No need, it’s too far here. It takes 14 hours to fly by plane. I’ll take her to Japan, it only takes a little over 2 hours by plane and it won’t be tiring.”

Jerome thought about it and agreed. “Let’s go, it’s not as hot by the beach, but it’s easy to get sunburned.”

    He opened the passenger door.

But Angelia didn’t get in.He always answers off-topic, making her feel uneasy. He is too mysterious and unpredictable, which makes people feel wary and fearful.

Jerome looked at her and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“I want to go back tomorrow,” she said again.

He was worried about her going back alone and said in a domineering tone, “Wait a few days until my project manager arrives, and we’ll go back together.”

In the car, Angelia silently watched the sea along the way.

She came this time to help him.

If he had told her directly that he wanted to use her as bait, she would have been willing to go because he had helped her many times.

But she didn’t like being played like a fool, feeling cheated and manipulated was terrible.

Half an hour later, the car stopped at the hotel entrance.

“You get off first and wait for me in the living room. I’ll go park the car,” Jerome said.

Angelia unbuckled her seatbelt, didn’t even look at Jerome, got off the car, and sat on the sofa in the living room.

Across from her sat a middle-aged man and a young, beautiful, and sexy woman.

The woman pouted and complained coquettishly, “I wish I could stay here forever. When I go back to the company, I have to face your wife. You don’t know, every time she looks at me, it’s like she wants to eat me.”

“Who asked you to eat me every time?” The man said gently, looking at the woman in his arms ambiguously.

Angelia looked away in disgust and looked out the window.

“Annoying.” The woman pretended to be angry and patted the man, saying coquettishly, “I’m serious. Can’t you let your wife stay at home? I get nervous every time I see her.”

The man nodded, “Just don’t look at her. Or, you can have a child with me, and I’ll buy you a house, so you can rest at home.”

The beautiful woman smiled, “Who wants to have a child with you? Don’t you and your wife have a son?”

“I like daughters,” the man smiled and kissed the woman’s lips.Angelia felt like her stomach acid was rising as she thought about the scum she had encountered, whether they were men or women, they were all disgusting to the point of making her want to vomit. She got up and walked towards the front desk, asking in English, “Excuse me, where is the restroom?”

“Go to the left and then turn right at the end,” the front desk smiled and replied.

“Thank you.” Angelia headed towards the direction of the restroom. She was curious why those men’s wives didn’t divorce them. Were they all like her and Sammie, in an agreement where it didn’t matter, or were they too ashamed to leave?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, and the more hopeless she felt about love. She washed her hands and came out to see the middle-aged man walking towards her. She had intended to ignore him, but the man stopped her.

Angelia looked at the middle-aged man, who asked in English, “Are you mixed?”

“Is there something you want?” Angelia said coldly.

“Let’s be friends. I’m in the jewelry business and I think your temperament is good. I happen to be looking for models to wear jewelry. Are you free this week?” The middle-aged man took the initiative to strike up a conversation.

Angelia rolled her eyes and looked at the man who was smiling at her. There were plenty of models, so why did he come to talk to her? A jewelry business was intentionally luring girls.

“Do you like me?” Angelia spoke directly in North Carolina dialect.

The middle-aged man was slightly stunned and pleasantly surprised, “Oh, you’re also from North Carolina. It’s a small world, and it’s really a good fate to meet each other in a foreign land.”

Angelia understood. This man knew that she had witnessed his shamelessness, yet he still had the nerve to smile at her. Did he think she would be like the woman earlier and go to him even though she knew he had a wife? Ha! Angelia’s eyes flashed with cunning, and she raised her chin, “Do you want to sleep with me?”

The man looked at Angelia and replied, “You’re very beautiful. Is there any man who wouldn’t want to sleep with you?”

“I’ll take a look first.” Angelia raised her eyebrows and looked at his abdomen. This man is used to playing around and quickly understood Angelia’s meaning.

His blood rushed to his head and he looked around, searching for any cameras.

In the distance, there was one and he frowned, asking, “Which room are you in?”

Angelia walked away, saying, “Never mind.”

The man grabbed her hand, but Angelia disgustingly shook it off.

The man, not noticing Angelia’s disdain, unfastened his belt.

“Start from the top,” Angelia demanded.

The man unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a fairly muscular body, and took off his pants.

Angelia didn’t even look, feeling sick, and ran away.

The man was stunned and immediately put his pants back on, chasing after Angelia.

“Help, someone is assaulting me!” Angelia shouted.

The man realized he was being tricked and grabbed Angelia’s arm, calling her a “filthy bitch.”

Angelia shook his hand off and yelled, “Help, someone save me!”

The man tried to cover Angelia’s mouth, but she dodged.

He tried again, but Jerome grabbed his hand and pulled it away.

Jerome looked at the man and asked, “Did you assault her?”

The man pointed at Angelia and said, “No, it was her. She seduced me and said she wanted to have sex with me. I took off my pants and she suddenly changed her mind, deliberately framing me. I didn’t assault her.”

Jerome looked at Angelia, who looked back indifferently, and said, “Then call the police and let them investigate.”

The man remembered the camera and knew he couldn’t escape.

“You like playing with women, right? How much do you want? Name your price.” Angelia felt very sarcastic.

“Do you think you can buy your way out of everything with money? Conscience cannot be bought.” The man raised his voice, “What do you mean by that?”

The manager walked over with the room card and asked, “Jerome, what’s going on?”

Jerome shook off the man’s hand and said, “Call the police and handle it. Get the surveillance footage and give it to the police.”

The manager nodded and handed the room card to Jerome.

Angelia turned and walked towards the elevator, hearing the man shout behind her, “You’re a bad woman. You framed me. I curse you to be played by men until you rot.”Jerome frowned and looked sharply at the middle-aged man. He made a phone call and said four words directly, “I want evidence, not just a lesson.”

    “Okay.”

In the elevator, Jerome looked at Angelia. She lowered her eyes and appeared calm, but there was a sense of distance.

“Are you still upset?” Jerome asked.

Angelia lifted her head and looked at her reflection in the elevator. She dared to do it, so she could take it. “That man has a wife and children, but he left them to play with his mistress and even tried to hit on me. I just gave him a lesson.”

Jerome had already guessed this situation. “I’ve already had someone deal with it. He will be punished by the law, and his affair with his mistress will be made known to the media. What else do you want me to do to make you feel satisfied?”

    Angelia looked at him calmly.

Jerome’s eyes were beautiful, but hard to read.

She was just an ant, how could she ask him to do anything?

“No need, thank you, Jerome,” Angelia said calmly.

Jerome asked seriously, “It’s not that you don’t need it, but the person who really upset you isn’t the man just now, it’s me, right?”

He had made it clear from the moment he got into the car with her. From the moment she was rescued, he had sensed her abnormality.

    Angelia smiled bitterly.

He was her boss, a person who had forcefully entered her life. He had controlled her life since he appeared, like a game master.

Could she be upset with him?

    No!

She still owed him ten million. If she didn’t work for him, she would break the contract and owe him ten million for the rest of her life.

She couldn’t! She couldn’t do that!

“How could it be?” She said three simple words, but her eyes were full of self-mockery and disdain. It was self-mockery towards herself.

What kind of person was she? When she was angry, she had no reason, was impulsive, and didn’t consider the consequences.

That kind of her, hurt herself again and again.

She used to be young and could be ignorant, but now she was already twenty-six years old.

She couldn’t be so willful, so impulsive, so ignorant, and fearless anymore. She has a responsibility to take care of her grandmother and children.

With a ding, the elevator door opened.

Angelia looked away and stepped out of the elevator.

Jerome opened the door to the presidential suite.

Angelia immediately saw the white piano on the high platform in front of the window.

How long has it been since she played the piano? Ten years?

When she was a child, her mother forced her to play, and if she didn’t play well, she wouldn’t be given food.

For a while, she also enjoyed playing the piano.

Now, the piano is a luxury item for her, and she can’t afford it.

She walked up to the piano, opened the lid, and the black and white keys were pure and beautiful.

Someone said that music can soothe emotions, release inner frustrations, and calm in beauty.

In her heart now, she is actually very sad.

She fell in love with a man, but found that she couldn’t even reach the edge of that man.

She felt sorry for herself, mourned the misplaced feelings, and blamed her foolishness.

He appeared for only a month, how could she fall in love so quickly?

She was really stupid to indulge herself in sinking. It shouldn’t have happened.

She sat in front of the piano and played “Silence of the Night Sky” by memory.

This is one of her favorite pieces of music.

She practiced it every day and it was the most memorable in her memory.

Beautiful music flowed from her fingertips, as if playing every regret key, over and over again.

Jerome leaned against the bookshelf, watching her play the piano, peaceful, elegant, and perfect, as if it was a deliberately refined image.

A clear stream flowed into his heart, flowing in his blood.

Except for her, he couldn’t see anything else.

After listening a few times, he learned it and sat next to Angelia, creating a harmony that jumped from his fingertips.

He was more professional than someone who passed the tenth level in China.

Angelia felt inferior, and because he was sitting next to her, she was too nervous and played a wrong note.

He immediately made up for her mistake, looking at her as if guiding her, with a gentle and indulgent gaze. She noticed his gaze and couldn’t concentrate on playing the piano.

She played two wrong notes, feeling agitated, and stopped playing, withdrawing her hands.

Some people’s existence is just to make others feel inferior.

    “What’s wrong?” Jerome asked.

    “You played well,” Angelia said.

“You played well too, but you were too nervous. Can you play a waltz?” Jerome comforted her and skillfully played a waltz.

“I don’t like it,” Angelia directly refused.

    “What about sunflowers?” Jerome asked.

    “I can’t.”

Jerome’s eyes darkened, and he withdrew his hand, looking at her silently.

    Breathing fell on her face.

    Angelia lowered her eyes.

She knew she shouldn’t have refused her boss’s enthusiasm as an employee.

But she was really in a bad mood now and couldn’t muster the energy to agree with him.

Maybe after she slept, she could adjust her mood the next day.

“Jerome, I’m a little tired. Can I rest first?” Angelia said as kindly as possible.

“Then rest first. There are two rooms, you can choose first.” Jerome said in a deep voice.

She didn’t choose, went straight into the room on the right, locked the door, and lay on the bed, closing her eyes.

When she had depression, the doctor told her not to keep everything in her heart and pretend to be okay.

It was a dangerous move because she gave up even self-rescue.

She had to speak out about things that made her unhappy, which was also a kind of release.

She sat up and pushed her hair back.

    Having depression was terrifying.

    The whole mental world collapsed.

Even a little dissatisfaction made her not want to stay in this world and even wanted to leave with her child.

She couldn’t sleep, had insomnia, lost interest in things she used to love, and even found sleeping boring.

She was always immersed in a sad mood, watching others laugh, not knowing why they were laughing, and always feeling lonely.

What’s the joy of life, what’s the sorrow of death.

She couldn’t let herself relapse again, looking at the landline phone on the bedside table. She wanted to make a phone call and confide in someone, maybe it would make her feel a little better. She picked up the phone and dialed a few random numbers, but they were all disconnected. When she dialed the sixth number, she was surprised that it actually went through. “Hello,” a man answered. “Hello,” Angelia said excitedly. “Although I don’t know you, please don’t hang up. I just want to talk for a few minutes and take up some of your time.” The man remained silent. “I have fallen in love with someone who is very excellent, perfect, and capable. He can solve any problem in the shortest possible time,” Angelia said in Chinese, pausing to gather her thoughts and ease her sadness. The man patiently waited, but when Angelia remained silent, he said in a more authentic North Carolina accent, “You don’t sound good right now.” Angelia had an urge to cry when she heard the man speak in a North Carolina accent. She had an urge to confide in him. “I got married, but it was an arranged marriage. On the day of my college graduation, my sister drugged me. That day, I found out that my sister and my fiance, who had been in love with me for five years, had already started a relationship. Originally, after graduation, I was supposed to marry my fiance. My fiance and my sister conspired against me, and I left that family.” “If you leave, you lose,” the man said. “I don’t want to win or lose. I just want to heal alone, and my grandmother went to argue for me. She had a heart attack and it was serious. If she wasn’t saved, she would have died. I have no relatives left, only my grandmother. It was also at that time that I found out I was pregnant. The child was from the rapist, but I was afraid that I would be the only one left in this world, and I didn’t want to kill the child in my stomach. She is also my child.” “So you gave birth to that child?” the man asked.”I gave birth to a child when my grandmother was critically ill. At that time, I met my current husband who is gay and was forced by his family to get married. He didn’t want to get married or have a relationship with a woman, so we signed an agreement. He gave me four hundred thousand Dollar to pretend to be his wife until I had enough money to pay him back. His parents treated me poorly, and I don’t know if it was because of their mood or because I had just given birth, but I developed depression.”

“Is your depression better now?” the other person asked with concern.

    “Um.”

“You’re still lucky. My friend also had depression and jumped from the building,” the man said sadly.

“I can’t have any problems. My grandmother is old, and my daughter is still young. If something happened to me, what would they do? Their lives would be very difficult, especially my daughter. I can’t leave her behind,” Angelia said, her eyes turning red.

“The man you said you liked isn’t your husband, right?” the other person asked again.

    “No, it’s my boss.”

“You can ask your boss for four hundred thousand Dollar, divorce your husband first, and then tell your boss the truth. If he loves you, he will accept you and your child.”

“I thought he liked me a little too and wanted to get divorced first before starting a relationship with him. At least I need to have an attitude towards this relationship.”

“So, you now think he doesn’t like you, and you’re upset because you’re seeking something you can’t have,” the other person said bluntly.

“Five years ago, I fell in the same place, and now, five years later, I fell again in the same place. What makes me sad is my own stupidity,” Angelia said.

“So, you’re in love with your ex-boyfriend again?” the other person was shocked.

“No, I mean in terms of emotions. Something happened today. We got engagement rings, and he put it on my ring finger. At that moment, I thought I had to get divorced first, but then…” Angelia’s voice choked up.

“What happened then?” the other person asked.”He did it on purpose, making his enemies think that I was his woman, and deliberately leaving a chance for his enemies to catch me. I almost died, only to realize that he had set a trap for his enemies by using me as bait. “

“You must be very sad. If it was just your enemy who did this, it would be one thing, but the person who did this to you is someone you like,” the other person said in a deep voice.

“Yes, I am very sad and feel cold in my heart. I can feel a knife in my heart even when lying down. It’s hard to bear, but what’s even more heartbreaking and helpless is that the person who did this is my boss. I signed a contract and have to work under him for a year. I feel very oppressed and depressed, to the point where I have to restrain my emotions and can’t express them,” Angelia said, her emotions becoming somewhat agitated as she sniffled.

“Was there any misunderstanding in between?”

“No, there was no misunderstanding. We could have stayed in a heavily guarded place, but he deliberately took me out and left on the pretext of something else. I asked him what I needed to do, but he wouldn’t say. If he had told me, I would have been willing to be his bait, but he didn’t say anything because he was afraid I would mess things up. I am very clear about that, and I understand it very well,” Angelia said, tears streaming down her face as she grabbed a tissue.

The other person fell silent, and Angelia didn’t say anything either. She needed time to calm down.

“You are actually a very rational person. You have already discovered the traces of an inevitable tragedy in the process. Do you need some advice from me?” the other person asked.

    “Okay,” Angelia responded.

“If you want someone’s love, it’s not enough to just love them. Many times, a woman’s blind love is destined to bring her misery and sorrow. What you should understand more is why he should come to love you,” the other person said.

Angelia listened quietly, feeling that the other person’s thoughts were very close to hers. “The distance between him and me is too great,” she said.”This is not the main reason. No matter how far the distance is, as long as you make an effort to get closer bit by bit, it will eventually shorten. The biggest problem between you two is that he is extremely cunning, ruthless, and cruel. Perhaps one day, for his own benefit, he may sacrifice you, just like your ex-boyfriend. He is not a trustworthy partner. What you are feeling sad about is actually that you have already seen through it, right?” the other person asked.

Angelia remained silent and did not answer him.

“Also, I think the most important thing now is not the problem between you and him. The relationship between you and him sounds like that of a bird and a fish. It’s like you have been worried that the stars in the sky will fall and hit your home. But your worries are just self-inflicted. What you urgently need to solve is your marriage problem. You need 400,000 Dollar, and I can lend it to you,” the other person said confidently.

Angelia paused for a moment and felt that he had awakened her from a dream and opened her mind.

    Yes.

The problem between her and Jerome was not necessary. Their relationship was like that of a bird and a fish.

What she should do, what would be helpful to herself, was to urgently get a divorce.

“Thank you,” Angelia said suddenly feeling relieved.

“Give me your bank account number, and I’ll transfer the money to you.”

“No need,” she couldn’t possibly use a stranger’s money.

“I’ll figure out the money on my own. Thank you for listening to me. After hearing you speak, I’m no longer sad. Being sad is useless. I’ll go do what I need to do, right?” Angelia smiled.

“Yes, being sad is useless. I should also do what I need to do,” the man said in a heavy tone, with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“Can I still call you in the future?” Angelia asked softly.

The other person is not a part of her life, so she is not worried that he will reveal her secrets.

Moreover, he can give her rational advice.

However, it’s not right to rely solely on others.

“If you want to talk to me, you can. I won’t tell anyone. After all, we are both in our own circles and have no intersections, right?” Angelia said.

The man in a deep blue military uniform is looking at the man who has been in a coma for over a year on the hospital bed with a mix of dignity and sadness.

“Is this your home number? It looks like it’s from Wilmington,” the man asks.

“No, I’m on a business trip in Wilmington. Your number doesn’t seem like it’s from North Carolina either,” Angelia remembers that she deliberately did not dial the North Carolina phone number.

“I’m in Germany and I have something to tell you. Write down my phone number.”

“You don’t need to tell me your name,” Angelia interrupts him, feeling that they are too close and afraid that he will enter her life circle.

“I dialed five wrong numbers before I reached you. You’re the sixth person I called. Can I call you Mr. Sixth?”

“Then you can call me the first lady. No one has ever called me like this before.”

“Okay, I like this name. Let’s cheer each other on.” Angelia encourages him and writes down his phone number before hanging up.

Her mood has changed 360 degrees. She goes to the bathroom, brushes her teeth, washes her face, looks at the ring on her hand, and realizes that it’s not appropriate to wear it on her ring finger anymore.

She takes off the ring and wants to put it in her bag. Then she remembers that her bag is at Jerome’s friend’s house, and her luggage is in his villa with nowhere to put it.

She places the ring on the shelf above the sink, ties her hair into a ponytail, and leaves the room.

Jerome is working at his computer and looks up at her. “So fast, are you feeling better?” Angelia smiles.

Mr. Sixth is right. What she is sad about is actually unattainable. The most important thing to do now is to get a divorce.

She doesn’t directly answer him and says, “I’m going out to find something to eat. Do you want me to bring you something?”

Jerome looks at his watch and says, “Let’s go together. I’ve already made a reservation.”

“Then I’ll obey your command,” Angelia says with a smile.

Jerome shuts down his computer and walks towards Angelia. She opens the door and keeps a distance of more than one meter from him, polite and courteous, just like when they first met and she was his room manager.

She doesn’t cross the line anymore and respectfully presses the elevator button. Jerome frowns and looks at her.She noticed his gaze and smiled, asking, “What do you want to eat later?”

Jerome looked at her standard smile, gentle, soft, and sweet, just like the first time they met. However, there were no waves or ups and downs in her eyes, faintly carrying a sense of distance and estrangement.

He didn’t like this, “Are you blaming me for not telling you the whole plan?”

Angelia laughed, she was a rational person. “Of course not, you told me, it’s not good for me, nor for you. It will only make me worry and fear. Acting won’t be so realistic anyway. Besides, you can guarantee my safety.”

She was generous and good at putting herself in other’s shoes, and she understood why he made the decision.

But he just felt that something was different between them, and because of this difference, his heart was entangled by poisonous vines, piercing into his flesh, sour and bitter.

The restaurant Jerome chose was right next to the hotel.

When Angelia passed by other people’s seats, she saw someone eating a large lobster.

Those lobsters must have weighed about five pounds, and there was a big pot of them.

    Poverty really limited her imagination.

“Do you want some?” Jerome asked.

“Aren’t you allergic to lobsters? Are you not allergic to these big lobsters?” Angelia asked curiously.

“I also invited my friend, he likes to eat big lobsters too,” Jerome explained as they were led to the reserved table by the waiter.

There was already a man sitting there, waving enthusiastically at Jerome. Jerome walked to the table and gentlemanly pulled out a chair for Angelia. She didn’t sit down, not wanting to make Jerome serve her like that. She took the initiative to pull up the seat next to her and sat down. Jerome glanced at her.

“Jerome, who is this?” Jerome’s friend asked curiously.

Angelia raised her hand and introduced herself, “I am Jerome’s assistant, Angelia.”

“Oh, okay, and what about Whitfield? Is he not in the company anymore?” Jerome’s friend asked.

    “He’s still here,” Angelia explained.

Jerome sat down with a gloomy face and asked, “Have you ordered?”

    “Yes, we have.”

“Add another big lobster,” Jerome’s friend widened his eyes and asked, “Oh, so you’re not allergic to lobsters anymore?”
