Chapter 1

Since I last saw his long chocolate brown hair. 2 Years.
He may have hurt me so much but the heart wants what the heart wants. As much as I wanna hate him for everything he did to me, I can’t, he’s my first love.
In two years, people can change. I for once, changed and for the better! I was now eighteen-years-old, shifter. Pure white fur and hazel eyed wolf. My hearing and eye sight was now keen meaning I didn’t have to wear those big ugly glasses and the one thing that I’m mostly proud of, I used to weigh 205lbs but now I weighed 110lbs.
I was the opposite of what I was before.
And for once I could feel and be normal.
I was now going home to spend my senior year back with my dad and friend, Apollo Porter. But things would be different back in Moonlight Pack Territory. Donald, my mate, hopefully. Was now the Alpha of the pack but there was a new law in every country that the elders made. Each school must at least have two packs and sadly for us, we were paired by our great enemy, The Elite Pack. Which was the most powerful and strongest Pack in America. Their training was intense, more intense than any good soldier in the marines.
I was excited yet scared at the same time.
People were now scramming out of the Airplane. I stood up and fixed my leather jacket that clung to my curves, got my bag and started walking in my six inch heels. I walked outside looking for my dad, and Apollo.
I looked around but I knew where he was since I could smell his and Apollo’s scent. Once I saw them I waved and tried my best to run to them without stumbling or falling with these killer heels that are literally killing me. “Vivian!!” my father’s voice boomed the whole place making everybody flinched at his voice. But me, I was used to it. Once I reached him, we both pulled each other in a bear hug not wanting to let go because we missed each other too much. “I missed you dad,” I whispered as a tear ran down my face, happy that I now get to be with my dad. “I missed you too pumpkin,” he whispered back “I guess I shouldn’t call you pumpkin since you’re not one anymore,” I grinned and slapped his shoulder as he gave out a merry laugh and then I looked at his side and saw Apollo.
Apollo changed also, instead of his formal straight Justin Bieber hair, his hair was now slightly curly and it was still long but it had that messy look to it. He had small stubble. “Oh my god Apollo! Is that you?!” I asked, as we both smiled at each other. “Wow! Vivian, you look amazing!” he said making me blush. “Why thank you!?!” I said as I playfully smacked his shoulder. I then pulled Apollo into a hug. but then my father broke us up and said “Break it up you two! Just because my daughter is now skinny and whatever that doesn’t mean you get to flirt with her Apollo,” Apollo and me laughed.
“It’s fine Toni, Vivian isn’t my type,” he said, we both laughed but then I asked “Since when do you call my dad by his first name?” then it was my dad’s and Apollo’s turn to laugh. “It’s been lonely without you so it’s either Apollo or his father will stop by and we will talk or watch some TV, go out for a run or go patrolling. Life was like this for two years,” my dad said as we started walking towards the car. “Excited to go back to school tomorrow?” Apollo asked as he put my bag in the trunk of the car. “Hmm… Yes and no,” I said. “Why?” Apollo asked. “I don’t know, scared of their reaction,” I said as I got into the backseat.
“Believe me Vivian! You will be shocked at the new Moonlight High.”
It was already first day of school and my heart was pumping very fast as if I just scared the hell out of myself which I am doing right now.
I was wearing black skinny jeans, red shirt with leather jacket that clung to my curves and my six inch heels. I put no make up since I like my face the way it is then I grabbed my small black backpack and dashed downstairs. My dad was cooking frenched toast with eggs and homemade bacon, “Ooh.. Yummy! You don’t know how much I miss your cooking dad! Mom was a horrible cook,” I said as I took a bite out of the sandwich. My father laughed then said “I remember your mom insisted cooking dinner for me, she wanted to cook pork chops,” “What happened?” I asked, halfway through my toast. “I don’t know, After she was done frying the pork chops all I saw was beef jerky.” he said making me laugh so hard.
I missed home.
Apollo then honked his black mustang outside, signaling time for school. “Bye Dad!” I said as I kissed his cheek, “Have fun!!” he called out.
I ran outside and got in the passenger seat. “Excited?” I asked as I looked at him, he was wearing sunglasses and his hair was put into a ponytail. “Nope! Don’t wanna see Audrey’s face or the enemy’s,” he said as he started driving. “What happen to you and Audrey?” I asked, my tongue felt like it’s been beaten a thousand times since I haven’t said her name in two years. “A few months after you left, I broke up with her. Ever since then she kept trying to get me back,” he said. “Even until now?” I asked, shocked about their relationship since they have been like together since the third grade.
“Nah! She found her mate,” he said. “Good for her, how about you any luck?” I asked him since it’s been years since he could shift but he hasn’t found his mate since then. “Nope! Don’t plan to kiddo,” he said as he got out of the car, I looked around and noticed that we were already at school. I saw many familiar faces and many new faces. Their scents were in the air but I couldn’t tell who is who since there were too many of them. “I’m gonna get my schedule,” I said as I awkwardly got out of the car. “Okay! Have to go the the theater, I am head of the Drama team,” he said as he walked off leaving me standing there with eyes glued on me.
I took a deep breath and started to walk towards the door, showing them a show that they’ll never forget. I started strutting inside the hallways with people making way for me to walk. That’s when I saw Donald, he was more handsome than the last time I saw him. He was more buffer, his hair was now short but more like in a Zac Efron looking way, his stubble was still there and he looked more mature. He just stood there leaning on the lockers, staring at me with wide eyes. For sure, they haven’t recognize me yet.
As I passed them, I smirked to myself.
But I was totally thrown off, I was waiting for it… waiting for that connection to finally click. For the whole world to tell me that Donald Crawford was my mate… But it never came.
-Donald’s POV-
It was my first day of senior high, last year of high school. It all seems like a blur. Before I went to school I had to pick up my mate, Audrey Mcadams. Shockingly she was my mate. I didn’t expect that and she didn’t either. Even though I had my mate, I still slept with other women. It’s not because I don’t love my mate. I love her with all my heart but because of her morals and stuff, she wanted her first time to be after marriage. I respect that but we aren’t humans. We are Wolves, we have needs especially men since they have needs when they are humans but they have more needs when they are werewolf especially an Alpha.
So I went around sleeping with a bunch of first years,
As we got to school she had to go off to her cheering Squad since she was the Cheer Captain. I went over to some of my pack members who were hanging out near the lockers. We were joking around and stuff, winking to some of the freshmen but then there was this one girl.
She was walking in the hallway like she dominated the school, with power and confidence. She had a figure to die for, her hair was long and brown. Her eyes were hazel and I knew that she was a shifter but as she passed me she didn’t wink at me or nothing, somehow I felt like I wasn’t attractive enough. “Who is that girl?” I asked in a whisper but mostly everyone here could hear it. “She’s the new kid from Brazil,” said the most annoying girl in school, Amelia Michalka, she was on the enemy’s Pack and we barely knew her but she just suddenly starts talking to everyone like she knows everyone on enrollment day. “How do you know freak?” I asked, she smirked as she was eating yogurt. “Simple…. Observation! Don’t worry, she’s not in our pack,” she said as she walked away. “Dude! She’s smoking hot. You need to tap that!” one of my closest pack member said to me. “I know and I will,” I said as I started walking the direction she walked to. I then whispered to myself, “They all crave for me… soon she will,”
-Vivian’s POV-
The first three classes were a blur, I had no subjects with either Donald nor Audrey but I had homeroom with Apollo though. Then finally it was lunch time and the fun was about to start.
I was sitting at a table with Apollo laughing my head off as we started telling jokes to each other. Until a scent so familiar was nearby. I looked to the entrance and saw Donald, not only was Donald alone but he was with Audrey, the thing that shocked me, the thing that made my heart feel as if it dropped to the cold ground was they were hand in hand looking at each other lovingly. They were mates. Audrey was mates with Donald, who was suppose to be my mate. I tried my best not to cry, I was tired and sick of crying and most of all I was tired of being tired.
I wanted to shift and rip off Audrey’s head but I had no right to, he was her mate. Something that I could never change, “You didn’t tell me,” I whispered to Apollo as he stared at his food, guilty. “I… I’m sorry. I didn’t want to be the one to tell you,” he said as he looked at me with his puppy eyes. I looked at the ground and said “It’s fine, I guess I ignored the warning signs from before. It was obvious he wasn’t made for me. A guy who is made for me wouldn’t make me cry… I just didn’t want to admit it back then,” It was true, I ignored the fact that Donald made me cry and hurt before, I was too caught up in my feelings to admit that we weren’t mates.
My thoughts were interrupted by the voice that I was dreading to face, “Hey Apollo! You have a new girlfriend?” Audrey asked, my back faced her and she was facing Apollo who was in front of me. “Actually me and her are only friends,” Apollo said while pointing to me and him. I turned around and said “Hello,” Obviously she doesn’t remember me. Audrey has changed a lot, before she had beautiful curly blonde hair with piercing blue eyes and she always smiled not showing her teeth but now stood a very slim Audrey, who had wavy blonde hair and looked very exotic. She was smiling showing her white perfect teeth. And she was wearing her cheering outfit colored red. “Hi there!” she chirped. “I guess you’re new here, my name is Audrey Mcadams! Your future Luna. So that means I am the Alpha’s girlfriend, if you’re wondering who is the Alpha his name is Donald Crawford,” she said as if saying Donald is mine, so hands off him.
I smiled and said “Ah! No worries, he’s not my type. Besides, I am kinda new here but I am also not with The Elite Pack, I am from yours,” her eyebrows came together in confusion and asked “So you’re new to our pack? Maybe I could show you around and we’ll be best friends,” I chuckled as I stood up towering over her since I was taller and I said “Actually No and No! I am the daughter of Former Alpha Antonio Hills. The ex best friend of the Luna Audrey Mcadams, I am the one and only Vivian Hills,” and once my name came out of my mouth and since half of the people in this room had a great sense of hearing they all heard me, even Donald. Everyone gasped and Audrey’s jaw literally dropped. Apollo stood up beside me with a smirk on his face, I couldn’t take the scenery seriously since everyone was in shock and I am standing here wanting to laugh out loud, I mean even my wolf was laughing.
“Yeah! I know shocker! Right? But I have no time for people like you. It’s such a waste of my precious time, so see you around, Later Chloes!” I said as I waved to her and strutted out of the lunch room with Apollo behind me and once we were out, we both laughed our heads off. Apollo decided to go out for a run since his wolf has been acting weird lately and I went to the library.
Not many people were at the library, and most of them were the enemy. Nothing bad has happened, yet. but the enemy has been behaving like good people since they stood out of our ways and were really quiet. That’s what I’m gonna love about this year, peace and quiet and get to see the shock faces of Audrey and Donald. Too bad I didn’t took a glance at Donald when I announced I was Vivian Hills but something weird happen, I suddenly smelt a scent but not just any scent. A scent that sent me straight to cloud nine, a scent that makes me feel like I’m in heaven or paradise. It smelt of woodsy and a guy’s perfume that smelt manly and a scent that turned me on.
I have never smelt something so divine.
I went to the last row at the library and was looking for a book that one of my teachers told me to search for but as I found it and when I took it out of the bookshelf, I saw the other side of the bookshelf and saw a guy standing there looking down at a book, he was handsome but as soon as he look up to meet my eyes. I was suddenly frozen, my heart increased, my panties went damped, my stomach filled with killer butterflies and I knew right there that I have found my mate.
His eyes widen but in a second he appeared right beside me, we both stood an inch apart just looking at each other, taking in what the other looked like. He stood at 6’2 taller than anybody I knew, his build was Athletic and his eight packs that showed under his tight black shirt made my panties even more damp. His alluring green eyes never left mine but at times he would linger at my body, His hair was dark brown and his skin was well toned. He looked ravishing while I stood here with my jaw open and drooling over him.
He licked his lips, and I felt my wolf howl inside me telling me to claim him now but at a time like this, it was inappropriate. When all of a sudden but to our liking, he growled “Mine!” pushing me against the wall and it turned me on even more, I could feel that he was a strong and a powerful wolf. Heat and desire was growing in my abdomen and all my wolf purred was ‘we want him, we need him.’ It was true, but I barely know the guy but without thinking I pushed my lips upon his roughly, and felt the heat overtake my body. It felt so right, I couldn’t help but moan a bit every time he nibbled on my lower lip. I then wrapped my legs around his waist and his hands held me at my butt giving it a soft and gentle squeeze making me yelp in pleasure. I soon realized what I was doing, quickly got down and push him away from me, he looked at me in a daze but by just looking into his eyes instead of yelling and questioning, I pulled him back to kiss him again instead of kissing we both lost our balance and fell on the bookshelf making it fall on another bookshelf causing a domino effect.
I was about to fall on the bookshelf on the ground with him on top of me but he quickly wrapped his arms around my petite body and switched our positions so I would land on him. People then started to look at us, I lifted my head to look at him and he asked “Are you okay?” his voice was so husky, so manly and he sounded like a man in power. He might be the enemy Alpha, it was just a conclusion but it might be a possibility. I quickly got up and ran from him before the librarian can scold me.
I found my mate.
Yes! I am happy that I finally found him.
but he might be the enemy
and possibly the Enemy’s Alpha.
I ran from him.
He won’t be happy.
